"Direct Marketing"....reminds me of a huge business success story....One of the biggest, if not THE biggest ice machine makers started out in the US by doing just that...they loaded a bunch of machines in trucks and went door to door selling to Mom and Pop motels and small restaurants. They regularly checked back with every single customer, and addressed any problems quickly...as the old machines eventually wore out...the newer, bigger, better machines were there to fill the need.

Some 20 years or so later...there are not one, but two factories in Georgia building machines as fast as they can sell them.

Self created business and markets are all over...not always selling hardware, but selling and making a lot of money non the less...one started out with a handful of good ole boys that used to get together to see who's moonshine runner was fastest...one day somebody said hey....I bet people would PAY to see this...yup.

MARKETING is EVERYTHING!!! Buell needed a bunch of air time...and BILLY MAYS!!! (may he rest in peace).

Sport bikes are predators....you can't sell them with a "herd" mentality.

Nice FB; but, sorry, The HP2's not for sale and never will be. Its repair is coming along and will be better than ever. It's a lifer.

Don't let it be said that you can't make a little money on an 1125 either ...

No doubt. We were on the other side of that negotiating deal.

Glad you won.

I thought the HP2 was dead for good.

Barker often speaks of "the best mexican food in town" coming from a mobile Winnebago. You never know exactly where it will be.

Mobile dealership and service truck.

I seem to remember some old kook talking about one.

Nah, it was just was on temporary life support (been there, done that myself). Some shiny new parts are going on it in my garage, then I'm working with GMD for a different suspension/brake setup for a little different spin on the bike. Can't wait.
