very cool. we need to start doing that around here. Buell needs to know that we all do really care. I'll be at the factory Monday if I don't have to work. And I'll be there on the 26th if I can. Just picked up the 1125R with the side panels. Maybe I can get the employees to sign them and clear coat it. | ||

For those that didn't know, there was one fella on "Business" staying at the host hotel for the 25th by coincidence from Japan. You guys should have seen him when I told him what all these Buell's were doing out in the parking lot of the hotel. He even came up to Road America somehow and had a blast. His name was Aki (don't know if I got the spelling right). He did demo's and all, using his international drivers license. It was very cool...Especially when we introduced ourselves to him. Me: I'm Wilson. Him: Ahh...Good to meet you Wilson-son. I'll never forget that guy and his cheek to cheek smile when he learned it was the 25th. I've got pics somewhere. | ||

Wilson, i also remember him.. he was amazed. It was cool to see him show up at Road America. It doesn't surprise me to see someone who has no clue about Buell, enjoy his time enough to stop what he is doing and drive an hour to be with them some more.... It's amazing! | ||

You would think....well lets hope with all this domestic and global attention that Buell is getting someone has to see there is a real opportunity in this little motorcycle company from Wisconsin. I have high hopes for the future of Buell and it just keeps getting more justified the more I see stuff like this from all over the world. I myself have gotten over the anger towards HD. I still have my XB9R and will cherish and enjoy it forever. BUell will rise again!!!! | ||

Doerman and Hex...finally glad to see someone else admitting to crying this week along with me. Jlnance...you are part of one of my "fondest memories thread" the sunday evening that you, rubberdown, M2nc, and one other c3er rolled into the Shady Valley country store and I was standing out front with one of my Buell shirts on and you guys pulled right up to me and were pointing at my shirt...and then you had someone take your pic at the "warning to truckers" sign our from the store. It was great talking with you then and i look forward to many more "Buell memories" to share on this page and with other members on here. |
