Let's see if we can all decide on a date so we can all plan ahead. I like the Fourth of July weekend. What do others think? | ||

4th of is impossible for me every single year. I have standing family obligations that aren't going to change anytime soon. I'm betting that another weekend would work better for many other folks as well. | ||

Doing it the same weekend as the races means people like Rocco, Coolice, and you can partake in the actual festivities like last year. I suggested in another thread that we wait till the race schedules are out, and plan AROUND them. | ||

Don't you mean can't? the past few years, I've barely gotten to see Mike because he was wrenching furiously on a race bike. Waiting to plan around the race schedules makes sense; I'm just feeling anxious and frustrated and I'm looking to the future. | ||

I'm good for either . . . I'd like to see Tony (Spiderman) and Steve perhaps take the lead on this. To do what we want/need to do we'll need some planning. Tony has the experience to lead this thing. The races are always a hoot. I'll help with the band . . . . anyone have Elton's number?. . . oh . . . wait . . . we don't have to do that anymore! | ||

Now you're talking! I don't mean to downplay the Oct. 26 thing I have read about. I hope a lot of people go. It sounds like an awesome gesture and I wish I could be there, but a little over a week's notice just isn't realistic for me or for a lot of other people. Something planned for next summer would be nice. | ||

I work at a HD/B dealership, we don't get time off in the Summer. Granted next week isn't the time of year I'd normally pick for a 2000+ mile round-trip, I'm going. I can't miss this; watch Erik tell what happened again, I can't miss this. Zack | ||

So, can we all agree to NOT plan it around the races? I'd *REALLY* like to see guys like Coolice, Rocco, IndyBueller, Paul James, and others that ARE involved in the racing efforts enjoy this event. But this also means, we wont be able to set a concrete date until probably the end of January when race schedules come out. I think late June to mid July would be the safest bet, weather wise. Like I've said in another thread, Kirk Toppel, the owner of Hals has stated they will support this, just like in past years. | ||

I am one of the above mentioned and would LOVE to do it when we aren't trying to race. And now that H.O.G doesn't have their stupid say when it happens, the sky is the limit! Track day would be fun. | ||

O.K., It won't be around a race weekend, and it won't be July 4th weekend. Personally, the date doesn't matter to me, I'll be there. I just would like to be able to plan ahead and put in for the Vacation time, and to have enough time to coerce the M.E. at work to show me how to program the CNC to do what I want. |
