It sits in my garage.... tempting me to race.... tempting me to make changes... like putting lightning bars on it... Every time I ride it, I ride it to fast for the street. I like to play with it but its a little over 3 years old and has less than 5000 miles on it Fun, fast miles... with a few bumps I love the way it looks! but its a pain to ride slow! ???? |

Yup... sell that sucker. It's just taking up space in your garage and sucking up your money. I'll give you $3K for it to get it out of your hair. |

If I were you, I'd slam a longer swing arm on it, then you might as well add a 200mm. That should slow you down a tad. |

Don't worry. I'll get a friend to drive me up and I'll gladly bring it back to Virginia and keep it company and ride it gently and kindly through the Blue Ridge Mountains..... |

Wolfridge, You aren't the only one thinking of selling. My wife's 9 has 2700 miles on it and shes ridden it 350 miles this year. Its paid for so it sits. My 12 Last Laugh I may have put 600 miles or so this year. Its also paid for. I have a huge amount of money in it but I'm also thinking of letting it go. Badweb keeps me looking in every day or so but my motorcycle interest has been dwindling. We'll see... good luck on what ever your decision is. |

I gots a uly and a NineR. I really need a 1125R, but I cant think of getting rid of one. I still regret selling my M-Deuce and my B-last. I have realized my Buells are worth far more to me than their street value. |

If you don't ride 'em, no reason to keep 'em. I had the same experience with my Mazda RX-8, but the reason she sat in the garage was because of the Buell. |

Barker, your 9R is about worthless, just donate it to Ft_bstrd, perhaps he can give you a bro discount on one of those 08 R's he has |

I think Barker's 9R is nothing but an experiment at this point. How much can you abuse a Buell and it still run? But you DO need an 1125. Dear God...what a bike! |

If I had the cash Wolfie, I'd buy it. I love the 9R I rode for a week back in 06. Damned kids won't drop out of college, however, so I'm busted. |

Well you could always race it.....you know.....since you have a license and all. I would race it for you if you would pay for everything, you know..... license, leathers, practice time, tires, fuel, passes, food, transport, time off work. You know what I mean? Oh, and medical bills! Can't forget medical bills! |

WHAAAAAAT?!?!? My NineR? It has always been babied. Never driven in the rain. Low miles only driven to church on sundays by my grandma. There are to many folks on this board who have seen me ride "Scarlet" so there is no need to hide it. Every time I ride my NineR I am always blown away that it has not blown up. My NineR: Its puppy years: First XB in TN. Yes its on of those "Bad" XBs one of the first few hundred to roll of the line. I bought from a guy who used it as his track bike. When I bought it the fella told me 'Its a wheelie monster. I cant keep the front wheel down, and it does a mean burnout!" Miles: It has gone thru 3 speedos. I gave up @ 10 miles. Honestly rarely see the speedo working. I ride this bike alot. It only has had 30,036 on the speedo for the past 9 months. I think it has some where around +/-80k. Abuse I ride the snot out of it. Yeah, I let warm-up but thats about it. It has seen spent alotta of time on the rev limiter. Most rides involved 3+ wheelies. I have lost count of the burnouts. It has seen alot of track time. One time I ran completely out of oil on one of bombing runs on the dragon. Evidently I did not secure the dip stick. The bike will run hard without any oil. Crashes It has been low sided. On both sides. Twice. Once it hit so hard it got stuck in 2 gear somehow? Problems, parts I have replaced Speedo is lost cause. It is on its 2nd 03 "bad" belt. The first owner took off all the belt guards day one. @ 25k indicated miles the first one had a bunch of holes in it. I only changed cuz I was paranoid from reading badweb. Race Kit Replaced Idler pully bearing. Yes mine has only one bearing. I had to replace the kick stand cuz I ground it down too much. Front brake pads, still has its original rear pads. I did the headlight recall. I have replaced the bulbs once. I had to replace the original battery recently. It only lasted 8 years! It still has the original wheel bearings. They are still smooth as butter. Maintenance I change the oil/primary every 1500 miles or less. (syn3, Formula+ and a Wal-mart filter) I change the fork oil every year I change the plugs every year I clean the K&N filter every year (Message edited by barker on October 10, 2009) |

You'll miss it if you sell it! If it's payed for and you don't need to ride everyday or need the money, put it in the back of the garage and through a tarp over it. 10 years from know it will still be worth something. |

If you aint riding it over goat trails at elevation, running it through creeks, catching occasional air, and imbedding it deep in questionable traction/surface areas; you are just spoiliin it. DAMHIK |

Did someone mention something about giving a 9R away? I would be glad to take it for parts for my 03 9R. That red one in the first post sure is pretty, if you aren't using it because you have another to ride, you probably should sell it. Try to find someone that will appreciate the time spent to make it look that way. That said be warned that prices are not very good on any of the bikes I see selling, so be prepared to take a low amount. lately the 03 9R's that I've seen go are in the $3000- range, and that for good clear titles too, I can only image what the salvage prices are at right now. |

I just saw Barker's bike do a wheelie today. Right after I polished the rest of my rear tire off with a smokey burnout. Damn, that CR can lay some rubber. |
