Good gawwd! Keds? Really? You know how bad they made your feet smell back then? I guess I hated them because mom always got them two sizes too big so I could grow into them. Problem with that was they always wore out when I had only grown one size.

Were they OK to wear if they fit? I bet I had five pairs and never knew.

I would wear em for 7-8 months every day till the soles wore through and yes they were stinky but they could just throw em in the washing machine when mom couldn't take em anymore

Converse still makes them. All the kids are wearing them here My step son and daughter begged me to buy them for back to school. Well, they have em and at $45 a pair. That price is for kids shoes never even looked at the adults.

Yea Brumbs, they have always existed as far as I recall, not hard to get either! I never wore them because I never found any that fit, but I got friends that do.

I had a pair of Converse that were high tops. Bright yellow and you could pull the high top over to make a low top. The inside of the high top was a bright blue. Awesome...

Now you can only wear BK if you're a rapper. And they only come in white

I miss the old Pumas with the 2 velcro straps. Why don't they use velcro on shoes anymore? I loved that.
