What would you do if you found something that looked just like a bomb on your doorstep? Then after much ado, you find it's someone playing a joke. I think the idiots playing the joke should have known better. |

I would agree if I hadn't seen the products. They were FLAT(shape) black lexan with LED lights. They wern't blinking, there were no wires hanging out and they were flipping the bird. Now I do not expect everyone to know what ATHF is nor watch or like the show but the extent that this was blown out of proportion for "Lights on a board" Here is a link to the story http://wbztv.com/topstories/local_story_031135507. html Like I said I would agree with punishment if they were indeed black boxes, withe blinking lights and wires abound. But something more basic than a Light Bright did not warrant such a scare. |

These guys are gonna walk, and quite honestly, they did nothing wrong. They should walk. These things had been up for 2-3 weeks, now. They will be able to prove that. You know, I found a piece to an old washing machine one time out side by my mailbox and I didn't think it was a bomb. I used to live in the Hawthorne District of Portland. It's pretty populated and near a few clubs. You used to see crazy crap all the time, and just ignore it. This is Boston. Bigger than Portland. I get that someone COULD POSSIBLY think it's a bomb. But, good lord, once the first one was examined, they should have scratched their heads and figured it out. This scares me that our intelligence agencies and the overall BRAINS of the USA couldn't figure this out sooner. We are supposed to be one of the smartest counties in the world and we couldn't figure out that this was a advertising scheme. Or the fact that Big Brother is watching and even HE didn't freak out 3 weeks ago when they were put up. Dumb. Look, it's the city of Boston who had the whoopsie. Not These guys. If you blame anyone it's Turner. Not these two Indie idiots. Quite frankly, I love how they more or less succeeded in shutting the Media up, and pissing them off. They're too god damn nosey half the time, anyway. You know that this was probably covered on EVERY single news channel and these dudes basically gave them the bird. That's awesome. We've got kids dying overseas. Let's concentrate on that and getting our crap together instead of a couple of desperate actors and electronically "savvy" kids that can dupe the entire Eastern Seaboard with a Lite Brite and 3 energizers and some speaker wire. This topic does nothing for me except make me smile. THESE KIDS DID NOTHING ILLEGAL! If anything, they made electronic devices that have a light form of public indecency. But, I've seen worse on Grey's Anatomy for Cripe's sake. Later. Mark |

They could possibly have to reimburse the city of Boston the 750K it cost them yesterday... Still short change for the publicity they got... |

The next time devices like that go up and everyone dismisses them.Well....what if? I'm angered by their silly response.Call in a suspicious bomb and...no municipality is going to take it lightly...NONE..thanks to Habib jihadi |

They will walk, or pay a small fine. They did nothing wrong. Not there fault the city is retarded when it comes to having a little common sense. |

But something more basic than a Light bright did not warrant such a scare. Ditto !!! Good grief !! And even if they had to pay the $750,000 that is still cheap publicity. I've never heard of the show, had no idea what it is or about, but now I'd watch it just to see what all the hoopla is about !! Brilliant !! |

Hey, ya wanna cup o' irony? http://news.bostonherald.com/localRegional/view.bg ?articleid=180349 "There were two conventional pipe bombs that were found at the same time that this started to unfold,” said Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis...In the hospital incident, investigators believe a former hospital employee planted the phony bomb in an office at 185 Harrison Ave. He has been identified but has not been charged, the sources said... |

The bad guys just got a very valid data point. They can pre-position devices at critical transportation choke points - bridges, overpasses, tunnels - and not have them discovered for 2 weeks. Makes me feel just all warm and fuzzy. |

Can you sue the City of Boston for being cretins? Sure, a smart terrorist could put up "tonite show" ad boxes with bombs... ( shhh... don't give them ideas ) but something so obviously an ad... dopes. Remember, if the "shoe bomber" had known American culture, he would have known no one, NO ONE!, can light a match on a U.S. airliner without the smoking nazis jumping on it. If he had known that & had a Bic...... he would have blown off a foot, & maybe hurt someone. |

I hope you can see this Boston, cause I'm doing it as hard as I can" Note to REAL terrorists: don't put your bombs in conspicuous areas, don't leave them in plain sight for weeks, don't make them shine brightly at night, and don't put obscene gestures on them. Because if you do, eventually we'll find them and arrest you. But seriously the fact that they were there for so damn long without even being reported just lets you know that it was obvious, to most everyone, what they were. Just takes the right assholes to find them and go hyper-reactive. |

It's kind of like the geo-cachers that got arrested for hiding a cache in an ammo box under a bridge. Not the best of thinking, but still funny considering the hobby. |
