whats the address or website for the new venture. looks like a great retail space, complete with a garage on the side for that little moto "side" business.

people often ask me about owning your own business, i always say it's not better or worse, just different. it all depends on your perspective and personality. the attitude you've shown here will serve you extremely well in your own business. best of luck.

Any of you hunters that want to get the newsletter, send me an email at Double_lung"at"hotmail.com and I will add you to the email list.

The address for the business is,
Double Lung Archery Inc.

Awesome! Best of luck, and enjoy the new venture to the fullest.

Will you be selling some of the local handmade stuff? There's some longbow makers out that way that make some awesome ones....

Daves,

Good luck with the new business. I get up to the quad cities area about once a year. I'll try to look you up. Of course, my 8 year old will make me buy something.

I'll look kind of like this.

The camo I am wearing is from a new camo company start up by a guy I met on a hunting web forum in PA
It's Enigma Camo and I am getting in on the ground floor of their dealer network.
This past season I was field testing it and we are making some changes to make it even better.
This pattern really messes with a deers vision. I shot 2 deer this year, while I was kneeling in a cut hayfield and they were only 40 yards away. They could not figure out what I was? I shot the first one, then had time to reload my muzzleloader and shoot the 2nd one while it was still standing there, trying to figure out what I was and why it's sister was laying on the ground?

Thank you for being one of the best parts of the Buell experience. I'm grateful for your enthusiasm and good counsel these last 4.5 years. Good luck to you and Kandie.

Daves- unless you are using someone local for your website hosting I use 1and1.com. They are great. Easy to use templates and a great price. Never had an issue with them or their services. Good luck...

Dang..

I'm both happy and sad to hear this.

Dave, you've been such a positive influence on everything and I would think, everyone Buell.. I'm sad to hear you leaving the 'family' so to speak..

On the other hand, I'm thrilled you'll be at home finally, with your sweetie and doing something that you must love. (put a call in to Ted Nugent NOW!)

While I don't bow hunt.. I know who to call if I ever want to give it a try. Besides, you're not giving up Buells, just selling them right? So there's still a chance we may get to face to face someday at some ride or another somewhere.. And that is always a cool thing about riding a Buell, the great folks we meet.

Stay in touch. (if you need any photo work, let me know.. Family Rates apply here) And all the best in the new shop.. Bet if becomes the finest archery store in the nation in no time.. So keep your KoolAide cold and your smile warm.

I need to buy one now.
I am going to wait til summer and see that the business is up and going before I buy one.
No more free ride on Buells but I will have one "smokin" bow setup!

Dave,
I have never met you, or even spoken with you. Still, after reading all the posts about the help you have given others on this board I almost feel like I know you. It goes without saying that you will be missed, and I wish you and your wife the very best of luck with your new venture.

Dave,

As others have said, my first thoughts were A) hoax, B) OH, noooooooo!!!

You certainly won't need any "luck" in the sales and C.S. sphere. You will excel! Just watch out for the "running a business" part - it can be a real black hole, and MUST be done.

I just might have to point Christine towards Iowa this summer. Hope you and Kandie will make Homecoming. My very best wishes to you.

Good luck with everything. I understand the desire to do your own thing. I'm trying to purchase the equipment to set up a fuel injection servicing shop at the moment myself (it will be a side gig for some time I'm sure).
