Does anyone know where I can get a k&n air filter for my blast for under $67?

Every where around here that is how much they are. They are even that much on the k&n website.

K&N website will only list suggested retail - they can't undercut their dealers or distributors.

Check the board sponsors here.

67 wow. I went with the pro-series for my blast. New air box and K&N filter for 90 bucks.

I heard from a tech that the first revision of "race" air filter kits were bad news.
They didn't support the outside of the carb and they had a tendency to kinda fall off.

Was this ever true?

What supports the carb and airfilter?

true, you lose rigidity with the pro-series.

The hose from the carb to the head fell off after 1000 miles. I just re-monted it and kept on riding.

For me I just loved to way it looked. I had to clean out the stock airbox every few hundred miles from oil biuld-up, with the pro-series I never had to do that.

How to support the Blast carb with the Pro Series air filter has been documented over in the Thumper Forum!

Yes it has! However, it is my long term opinion that the only way to brace the weight of the pro-series intake is with heavy duty hydrolic hose or the 4 ply race re-enforced fuel filler hose - 1 3/4 ID by 1 1/2 L and solid bracket mounting from the motor - supporting the carb in place - might as well add aircraft quality band clamps as well for the boot - longest boot life I had from a stocker with the Pro-series was a little over 3000 miles - I finally bowed to the inevitable and went to the torque stack and stack filter and racing spring supports as I had on the Black bike. I had tried a number of brackets and springs with no luck - the puppie was too heavy and the cover would rub the hoses in time as the boot tore -lol - others have had much better luck, yet still the majority don't - my radical airbox mod is a good alternative to the Pro-series - you can hear the chuff! Still watch out for the airbox cover chaifing stuff as well - real long term.
