I'm such a dip for not mentioning this earlier. The grand prize for the ASBN anniversary night was a coupon for $1000 on the purchase of a new Buell at Vallejo. Of all things, I had the winning ticket. I was shocked when my number was called because there were about 75 people there and that was the first prize called out. It's a standout gesture by the Vallejo ownership to support ASBN and Buell. I am going up soon along with two other pals to test drive the big Uly. Looking forward to it. You couldn't ask for much better than Terry Parsley and the crew at Vallejo. I wonder what type of trade in value my X1 gets? The Beemer?? (Message edited by jon on December 16, 2006) | ||

I feel that a new steed is on the horizon. I be getting tempted by: 1) Uly 2) Multistrada 3) Hypermotard I'll be testing the Uly soon enough. One thing the Uly has going for it, is that good people like Terry Parsley, Hollywood Steve, and Tom McIllhattan at Vallejo Harley and Buell come with it. You could say Moducto has people gold too, but they are further away and I see the Vallejo bunch often. Against that, the Duc's are serious contenders and someone who I respect a lot likes both the Uly and the Multi, but bought a Multi and swears by it. Something is going to happen... BTW, Ed any chance you can make ASBN Jan 1st? I'm doing a solo act as Woz and Rex will be out. | ||

Sorry Jon - will be preparing for my wedding on the 14th in January and won't have time for the fun! Even though - I'm sure glad they cleaned up 880 - makes the ride to the meeting much more tolerable and will probably have me going more often - lol - my next ride though will be on my birthday this 23rd - I'm going to hit Alices for brunch then kick over to the Coast and head for Stinson Beach via the Panoramic hwy and back down 1 to home - should make a nice day of riding.
