When I hit that combination, I'll post the "how to do it yourself" results.
Someone here in the last year or so posted up favorable results with some chrome spray paint. I know nothing more. Am a bit skeptical. Comments appreciated. |

Although I am sure some would say that this also was my fault and had nothing to do with quality control issues lol.
I do all of my own work on my XB as well. Were it not for that I would have spent nearly 4,000 dollars on it in 17,000 miles........................
I and some friends are heading off to the LBMC this Saturday and are going to follow the visit with a carouse of Long Beach's finest bars. Care to join us? |

Pwnzor BTW I had a real chuckle the other day. When I changed out my stator I misplaced one of the locater pins on the primary cover so in desperation called the A-holes over at Quaid in Loma Linda. Figured they would have the pins.
Well as soon as the parts guy realized I was looking for a $3.00 part he said he was with another customer and would have to call me back. I very politely said that I was in a jam and needed to get this done today but I would wait for his call
I knew better though so after about an hour I drove down (Fordyce had 20+ so I figured Quaid had some also). I took a peek in the door and wouldn't you know it but the parts guys were all standing around awaiting big shiny high commission chrome parts customers.
So for fun I went to the far corner and quietly called them on my cell phone and asked for the same parts guy I had previously spoken with. I was again told he would have to get back to me as he was with a customer. You should have seen his face as I came around the corner and said "Funny I don't see one"................
Freaking priceless!
There is a new guy over at Skip Fordyce and he seems to be trying real hard to improve their "Buell image". He got the wheel bearings taken care of on my bike (that Court could not) and has somehow convinced management to stock more Buell stuff. They have air filters, brake levers, belts, foot pegs, clutch cables, hats, shirts and other basic stuff in stock now.
Granted I buy nothing that I do not need and am working on my own Buell logo spoof T-shirt! Going to be kind of fun to get off the Buell at the sport bike events sporting a Buell Sux t-shirt lol.
Have fun hope you can join us for a couple of cold ones. |

You can call the staff at the dealership assholes and perhaps they'll tolerate it. They are paid to deal with assholes.

Customer service is like a big punch bowl with a turd floating in it. Most of the time its not that bad, but every now and then you get the turd in your glass. The bad thing is there are a lot more turds than there used to be..... |

I will say this. NEVER was I rude or impolite to you in any way shape or form. You on the other hand claimed you could fix something in "27 minutes" Two months later I was still waiting..................... NEVER did you recieve a harsh email from me.
So you can take you "fool" comment and stuff it right up your pompous ass. And yes I would say that in person.

Before this thread gets completely away from the original topic, I'd be curious to read your take on the original poster's complaint (figuring you'll be the devil's advocate here on behalf of the owner).
Do you think he's justified in believing that Buell should replace a leaking gasket on a 6 year old, out-of-warranty motorcycle? |

Whodom, No I do not think a six year old gasket should be replaced by the dealer. I can however relate to his experience with C.S. and other experiences at the dealer.
Gets real tiresome to hear the cheerleaders constantly assume that anyone that has issues with C.S. was rude first. I have to be pushed pretty hard before I get rude. Even after my experience at Quaid I was not rude. In fact I was laughing my ass off.
I do not take to petty name calling over the internet real well. I do not show disrespect to anyone until they do it first. Then I will step up and deal with things in a most old school fashion..................
Thats one of the things I can't stand about Badweb. Don't wave the pom poms and some butthead will bust out the name calling.
I stopped posting here for quite awhile but ya know I think it is great fun to watch some of the cheerleaders get all emotive.......... From a safe distance of course.
If some of those folks could just see me sitting here with a big ass grin on my face............................. |

Well I was actually thinking about going on Sunday after the SCAB meeting. Also, I only drink at home unless somebody else is driving.
I have said in the past, and maintain to this day that I'd like to meet you in person, and my weekend plans are still in pencil, so we'll have to see what happens. |

Pwnzor, Sunday is going to be rain more than likely. I will drink when out but time the intake rate pretty carefully. We are also going to get some dinner.
I am going to have to introduce you to my CHP riding buddies. I know you are not a big fan of "The Man" but you might like a couple of these folks despite their jobs......... I don't worry to much about getting tickets when out with the boys (: |

I don't believe that rain forecast for two seconds.
My mom reminded me today that I'm going to some Caribbean music concert at CSULB on Saturday anyway, so I'll be in Long Beach but busy. Then I'll be at the SCAB meeting on Sunday, and may or may not go to the IMS afterward.
I was kind of bored at last year's, so I guess if I win a free ticket at the raffle I'll go. Buell is giving away free t-shirts with a VIN number, I wonder what those will look like.
We'll just have to hook up another time I guess. |

Of course you are above all that calling others "butthead" and deriding them for "ass kissing" and waving "pom poms", which has got to be the absolute most tired junior-high put-down. Truth be told, I'd MUCH rather hang out with cheerleaders than a bitter old hag!

There is little honor or integrity in in chastising someone for not liking Buell and in not Chastising someone that calls others names........
Look through my threads there Blake you will not see a SINGLE incident of me calling someone a name.......... Unless called a name first.
