I like the peg risers. Simple and sturdy. My Crossroads rear sets are sort of flimsy and awkwardly mounted. I wish I got a set of solid mounted pegs too. What are the lights under your tach? | ||

I was lucky to get these pic's posted ( I'm not so computer oriented) It's an old racer that I got a frame off of Ebay with a title. Took all the good stuff, (kick ass engine) homeade undertail section, altered XRtail, a ruined X1 tailsection and migged it to a plate for a dash. It's kept me busy. A FREAKIN' YEAR AT Baltimore Chrome, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. All in all I'm proud I got a finished product. | ||

I'm thinkin I'll take it to the AHDRA races at Cecil county to see what it'll do. The engine did 11.5's years ago without a altanator, so it should be close. So much stuff is leftover trash. A broken Peterbilt fuel tank strap made the headlight mounting brackets, the flat part of the dash is a Freightliner side step, the seat subframe is 1"pipe and stainless KW mirror brackets, the peg risers are a hunk of aluminum plate carved with a angle grinder and a cheap drill press. Those lights on the dash are the engine light and low fuel that are supposed to be in the stock tach. I spent way too many hours polishing the triple trees and the Buell sprocket protector, sprocket, and all the little Bullsh**. I didn't appreciate OCC till I tried to do it myself. There are way too many wires on these bikes, I gave up and HD of baltimore figured out I had a ground that was intermitten. It's been a fun project even with all the anguish. sportsman this bike does needs better pictures. this thing in person is the best Buell I have ever seen. The tech that worked on it realy held back while riding it. I think I would have been a little less held back. GREAT JOB!!!!!!  | ||

Buell920, Thank you. J may have held back cause I told him I just put it together and if he heard anything rattling it was something falling off and be aware  Ya know, drink a beer, set frame on engine, drink a beer, attach swingarm, etc. Jscott, It's a Kooks muffler on Force headpipes with a Pep boys 2 1/2" elbow in between. The Kooks pipes got mashed in a wreck and the Force collector was cracked up so the mig got used again. That's why header wrap seemed like a good idea. Pwnzor, yes, a wracked X1 tail was cut to use the logo and migged to flat plate and cut with an angle grinder to size. 99BuellX1, I may just do that, I'm easily frustrated with this electric box here that I don't really understand. But right now it's after 4AM and I just got back from the marina checking on the boat. The place looks like a junkyard. Loose boats, busted everything all over the place. Luckily mine was just fine. |
