I'm located in Central Florida and am desperately seeking a Buell place to have my TPS recalibrated. I have gone to 2 different H-D dealership, and they totally screwed up by bike. Besides that, I and my bike were both treated like second-class nobodies. Obviously, if it doesn't say Harley on the side, they don't want to deal with it. I have now fixed all their muck-ups, but I still need their firmware to reset the TPS. I have so far tried Space Coast Harley, Melbourne/Palm Bay and Bruce Rossmeyer, Ormond Beach. Can anyone direct me to a "good" Buell place in Florida to do the TPS properly? I have a 2004 XB12S, and I love it!

I know exactly what you are going through, my 1st TPS at 1,000 mile service wasn't correctly done (at one of the above mentioned dealerships I might add) so I ended up going to South Florida to get it done correctly and now that source is gone.
If you find a good place to get it done, please let us know.

Goob,

Lakeland HD/Buell is good. My ULY is currently at Seminole and I hope they are also a decent Buell shop. I will be getting the TPS zeroing SW from Al (American Sport Bike)fairly soon so I will be available for central FL Buellers' resets.

Ocala H-D/Buell took good care of me. They have a couple of techs that do nothing but Buells and V-Rods (whatever the connection is, I don't get it). They installed my Race Kit, and recalibrated the bike perfectly. I've used them for my Road King since 2000 without any problems. Good luck!!

I'm in Palm Harbor (the other coast just north of Clearwater). I have VDSTS software and laptop. Will do it for free.

Wow -- thanks guys! Great to know there are really great Buellers out there to help in time of desperation! Both me and my brother have Buells, and were losing hope until today. Aeholton, thanks for the offer to do a free TPS. We decided to order the S/W from American Sport Bike (thanks FTD!!!) and do both bikes ourselves. Wish we were closer to the Gainesville, Ocala or Lakeland dealers, but perhaps now we'll have some independence from them all. FREEDOM!!! Thanks again to all!!!!!

A decent non-Harley shop that does good work is the Motorcycle Clinic in Kissimmee. Ask for Cory or his dad, Brian (owner).

Just my 2 cents anyway : )

Thanks for the info about the Motorcycle Clinic in Kissimmee. Never heard about them either. We'll definitely keep them in mind in the future.

Bought both of my Buell bikes from the owner, Steve O, @ Space Coast before he moved to new shop and never had any problems there with service. Steve O was one of the first on board with the new Buells in 1999, and was enthusiastic then, but I don't think that's where they make any money. Probably just lucky he sells a few and still works on them. You might need to ask for him.The 99 M2 had carbs so I ended up with an independent shop.

Couple of weeks ago I ran the XB9 to St. Pete and the owner of Gulfport Moto ( I like independent shops anyhow) had his mechanic install my muffler ( I couldn't get the axle nuts loose) and ECM and Jim's HD in St. Pete took me in "on the fly", reset the TPS and idle speed in about a half an hour and I ran it straight back to Orlando.

One of the sponsors here, Wes, is a big Buell Independent/drag racing shop and they did service for me decades ago in St. Pete on my japanese bikes.

Lakeland Buell wouldn't do anything for me "on the fly" when I needed it bad one day so I never went back. Orlando HD did OK by me in service until they dropped Buell. I don't know anything about Seminole except I've been in a few times and done some sales talk with them. A friend says they are OK, but he is an old HD man. GOOD LUCK.

Wow, that's surprising to hear that they messed up your TPS reset there. Had mine done with Space Coast each time it needed it and never had a problem. Wish I could help you now, but I'm stationed at Ft. Gordon, GA now.

Ask any question though and I can try to help.
