Saw the exhibit last year at the pyramid in Memphis. Actually saw it twice. I was in heaven looking at these works of art. This 1926 Scott Super Squirrel was owned by Steve McQueen. It's a 2-stroke.
Sure was glad to see Buell make a showing.

I saw the show at the Guggenheim way back whenever that was (98 I think). They had the bikes arranged around the main spiral that makes up the museum.
Do the other shows emulate the spiral in some way (looking at the curved wall in the preceding pic)?
I'd love to see the show again, here's a link to a writeup on some of the bikes

angelwild 327 do you know of any dealerships in the area that has buell t shirts. my family and i will be in orlando july 6-16 on vacation. i,m going to add the museum to our list of thing to do. thanks for the heads up on that. |

In Vegas they didn't really have anything like the spiral, they just controlled where
you had to walk, basically 1 path, through the exhibit.
In Memphis they used a red ribbon that wove through each exhibit like a road. The
layout was less "modern" but i liked the presentation and lighting much better.
I didn't see Chicago, or Orlando, so maybe someone else can comment on those shows? |
