This thread reminds me of an episode of Dallas. Only in this version, nobody shot JR. JR shot himself.

Lornce: If you are the one who posted with the name "Blake's Mom," then yes, you were banned. Otherwise, no, you weren't. Vik |

Court has never been, nor is currently banned from participating here. Anyone who misleads folks into believing that Court has been banned from BadWeB is not being honest. Court is welcome to continue his participation here anytime he so desires. Again, he has not now nor has he ever been banned from participating on BadWeB. If he chooses to shun the place, that is entirely his own choice. thanks Blake jt |

This board has been a tremendous help to Buell owners... and I've gotten more than my share. This board goes on because of the large community of contributers, the thankless work of the moderators, and because of Blake's generosity and leadership. Yes... sometimes one has to weed through some "stuff" at times... it is the Internet, after all. But if you're truly a Buell enthusiast, this is the place to be! Not one member is going to make or break it. Just look at the diverse group that posts here.. and it continues to grow. Steve |

Eeeek/Vic, Nope, wasn't me who posted under the name "Blake's Mom". Though it is kinda catchy. I registered under "Lornce" a few years ago and then promptly forgot my password. Half a dozen or more requests for assistance with my password have gone unanswered, so I just assumed I was blocked for some obscure reason. Like being Canadian, or something like that. But if I ain't banned, would you mind helping me with my password conundrum, por favor? |

Heck, I've been banned from discussion boards before, three different ones. I remain banned from one apparently in perpetuity because I politely challenged what I viewed as horribly unfair, inaccurate, disingenuous naysaying by one of that board's sponsors who was publicly maligning a competitor's product. My crime was posting a copy of his very own words from a few years previous when again out of commercial interests he was lauding the wonders of the very product he now saw fit to malign. Nothing wrong with promoting one's commercial interests as long as one maintains one's integrity. I was then threatened via PM by said board sponsor to cease expressing my opinion or he would ask to have me banned. I responded by posting the quote of that very threat to the board. I got banned; that post, then the entire thread was removed. I then learned that the owner of that board had registered the .org, .net, and .us domains for "badweatherbikers". There are some really truly miserable people in this world. Sometimes it's difficult to tell them from the rest of us. Sometimes they really aren't miserable at heart and are just mistaken about reality. Been there, done that. Sorry for it. Live and learn. Lots and lots of liars in the world. Some people are really truly self-serving coniving miserableness incarnate. Best thing is to stay far away from them. Some folks find themselves seduced by the charm and accomplishments of others and become blind to reality. They become disciples. That is of little consequence after they suddenly find themselves with a dagger buried deep into their back. <sigh> Sorry, I digress and pontificate too much. Though I felt none of my bannings were justified, one thing I've never ever done is publicly bellyache about them. Well, until now I guess. LOL. Sorry about that. Please forgive my weak character in that. It is bewildering to me how some folks make such issues into a recurring theme in their lives and use it to repeatedly insult and malign others. How utterly miserable! YECH! <sigh> But Court wasn't banned. He may be confused on that issue. I'll give him the benefit of doubt on that. He deserves it. He's helped a lot of Buellers on his own dime and added a lot of joy to my own life. He's a very gifted and very special man who I've counted as a dear and cherished friend. His ego may be the size of Texas and that can be problematic, especially when dealing with <ahem> others <ahem> similarly endowed, or should I say "cursed." I'm sure he feels his reasons for avoiding BadWeB are entirely valid. I hope he'll see fit to reconsider and rejoin the community here. Frankly I think he may just be grumpy from waiting to get his S2 back home from the shop going on for nearly one year now. The whole thing is extremely depressing. I get the distinct feeling that Court neither counts me as a friend nor respects me, and that really stinks. I sure hope I am wrong. Whatever you think of me or Court, I'm asking that all the gossiping cease and let's all please hope for a sincere reconciliation. Life is too short for such miserableness. Ain't that true? Blake, My heartfelt appreciation to you for doing what you do to make this board what it is. At times maintaining the rules and such have a real personal cost and it takes very thick skin to keep on keeping on when some folks misunderstand the effort or don't want to abide by the house rules. Most of the people here have no idea what you have been put through these last months to keep this board's integrity. Here's a short list: 1. Unrelenting hackers 2. Extremeley malicious unrelenting hackers. 3. Demonic possessed extremely malicious unrelenting hackers. 4. Folks who were not in groups 1, 2, or 3 but who took an unnecessary personal toll on our head custodian. Lot's of these types. Glitch and some others helped out with 1, 2, and 3 in fine fashion. I'm not technical enough to do so. I can make toast, however. This website has a unique profile. When I consider the people who like to hang here, I know something's right. Keep up the good work Blake. It is appreciated. Jon Custodian (Message edited by jon on May 23, 2006) |

Hear hear... (or is that here here???) Anyway... There's only one other board who I believe has a "leader" who is seemingly as honorable as Blake is. People have to make hard decisions in life for sure... That said... I've met Court and Blake in person and I'm reasonably sure that this won't last a long time. |

I haven't met either of y'all, (been a little too busy traveling in the past few years) but I think you're both stand-up guys, and I'm sure you can work it out. And if not, well, that stuff happens. There are other people out there in the world... |

hey blake since you mentioned racing, while the AMA race for the top was boring in similar fashion as the past few, did you see I believe it was Zemke(not real sure) and Duhamel almost come together? Zemke? punches it mid corner smokes the tires at what looked to be 90 MPH and neither came out the worse, that too me was one of the coolest things I saw this weekend...off thread but since I can't make toast it seemed like a good change of pace |

good thing there is a difference between jams and jellies. hmmmmm, home made strawberry freezer jam. hmmmmm, home made grape jelly. I'll take apple butter over both of the above though. |
