Looking at riding from DC to Dallas 1st week in April. Dont want to get stuck wearing my PVC jacket all day if I get caught in showers. Its like wearing a rubber suit before you know it your hot and sweaty. Looking at getting the Frogg Toggs or just trying to Scotch Guard my FXRG jacket. I have First Gear HT pants so the legs are taken care of just need something breathable for the jacket. |

I use the Frogg Togg. I imagine ScotchGuarding the jacket would put you on par with the PVC comfort. |

There just really doesn't seem to be any better than Gore-Tex for staying drying and still breathing. |

I'll put in a second vote for the Frogg Toggs. I bought a set last summer. While riding in NE GA mountains, I got caught in a rain storm. It was raining so hard I had to pull off the road; I literally couldn't see 5 feet in front of the bike. I stayed perfectly dry and did NOT feel like I was in a steam bath. They can be bunched up into a very small wad and they are very light. |

Gore-Tex is at the top of the rain gear food chain for sure. Frogg Toggs are a close second when you consider the price difference and overall effectiveness. They are breathable too, but generally not nearly as durable as Gore-Tex. |

I use the BUELL rainsuit, It works great, fits good, and breaths well. Call Daves, he'll square you away! |

You might take a look at Brosh rain gear. They are kevlar reinforced and you can get crash pads for the rain gear. You can get jacket and/or pants or rain suit. Just go to BROSH.com. My Frog Toggs worked great until the pant's crotch seam let go. There's no way to repair the electronicly welded seam that I could do easily. |

Frank Thomas AQUA gear does me good. That way I don't have to carry rain gear. <http://www.frank-thomas.co.uk/product/mwp/jckt-index.html> |
