Thats a sport bike? Looks like a 7' wheelbase. It's a kit available out of the Custom Chrome catalog. Uses a RevTech motor. |

The proportions just look wrong to my eye; I don't think I'll buy. |

I agree with Grumpy It looks too long to me The wheels are small and the seat is low If it handles good I'll never know. |

They tried to make a Buell from a FXR (and didn't do it right)!!! Why not buy a Buell right from the factory |

A "sportbike" with a Twin Cam 88" is a good idea (Confederate), but that is just all wrong. |

6' wheelbase, double cradle frame, unbraced swingarm, STIFF inverted fork, 110HP...this is why Harley guys should stay away from sportbikes. I wonder how she is leaned over on a bumpy corner. Can you say flex. |

I'd like to see specs.. such as weight and seat height. but in general its not a good looking or practical design. |

Sorry guys, but I had a MAJOR hand in this project and I AM a Buell guy. It is based off late model FLH powertain with the oilbag under the trans. It handles better then any Harley ever made. you notice I did not say BUELL ever made. This was not directed at the Buell market. It has TOP level suspention, wheels, brakes and triple trees. This bike will smoke a V-rod, and FXR or anything else the motorfactory wants to throw at it that is a street going model. Do names like Paoli, Marchessini and Brembo wet your appatite? Yes I've ridden it, it was designed by John Reed who also designed major bikes for Yamaha. it holds a top speed record at the texas mile for a standing start of 158 MPH. Fast enough for you? Stop talking out your A$$ if you dont know crap. |

I buddy of mine rides a Dyna with very similar suspension upgrades (grump, you've followed him once or thrice) -- I've ridden it a little, and it is surprising what the Black Death Barge will do, in the right hands -- I think with the right paint (think stock lookin bagger paint), this things could make some big dough, if there was still street racing . . . . .of course, that kinda thing stopped a long time ago (I dig sleepers!) DK -- good job! you guys should be pleased! |

Clem Salvadori tested one recently in (I think) Rider magazine. He kinda liked it, except he thought the suspension needed some sorting out. In my eyes, the V bike is way cooler than any of the "chopper" kits out there, but, cool though the finished product may be, I think I might spend my $20K differently. No disrespect intended, DustyKat, but I have already owned a Confederate that I bought (used) for less than that, with many of the same names on the components, and the whole was less than the sum of the parts, if you get my meaning. rt |

"Stop talking out your A$$ if you dont know crap." I'm not insulting your passion or sense of aesthetic. It is obvious from the picture that the bike is assembled from top shelf components. I just don't understand why someone would bolt expensive parts designed to make a bike turn, onto a frame like that. I do know some "crap", I guess I just don't get the whole "better than a Harley" thing. Harley's are fun to ride, but they are hardly considered a technological benchmark. |

Whoopty Dooo! It's not a Harley, so what does that matter? Kinda apples to oranges I think. It also probably handles better than any Indian made, yet that probably dosnt matter either. p.s. Does that statement include the VRSCR, and the VR1000? |

the VR 1000 was never a US market street going motorcycle. And I'd put the V up against the VRSCR any day of the week. You all have the right to not like the V, your choice, that is not what got to me. What got to me is talking shit when you've never ridden the bike, or even seen it in person. That is an uninformed choice made on hearsay and bullshit. |

It is also heavily modified from stock. We are talking STOCK motorcycles here. The V is a STOCK motorcycle, the parts are there from the box. You don't have to go buy them seperately |

When I saw the kit in Custom Chrome, I thought it might be pretty cool. But now that I see it at a different angle.... |

I like this one as well. But the frame is of course not made by the company.

Dusty: I think it looks cool as all get out, the 2tone paint is simple and elegant, I bet in capable hands more than one ricer might get supprised. the sad thing is that I got a 130 mph street scooter for 10k and I can put 5k in the mill and prolly get the other 20, and definately with a baker6 and motor work, minimal assembly work req'd Vs 20k and "some assembly required" still an neat job, I wish I could ride one of those ... |

Got a pic with someone on it? Looks like you'll be completly stretched out on it to reach the bars, and yet the pegs are in the normal position? I like the yellow one, but sure don't like the two tone blue/silver. How long before Harley comes down on that auction do you suppose? Correct me if I'm wrong - but it has *no* harley parts on it, let alone the 3 they require (RevTech eng and trans plus Santee frame) |

>The V is a STOCK motorcycle, the parts are there from the box. Dusty, no offense ok? I like the yellow bike (ok, I like any bike) and given the opportunity would flog one of those on the street or track anytime ... ... but I would not call a completely custom bike with all trick parts that comes in a box "stock". Dusty, I kind of dig the yellow version. something about the 2 tone version kind of breaks it up too much. It's not really my cup of tea but there is no doubt it would turn heads. Especially when it blew buy an unsuspecting rider. And hell yes, I'd throw a leg over one! It's still got two wheel guys.... Brad |

One of the local shops has one of these bikes and is a distributor for them. It is longer than a buell. But still looks good in person. the pic's don't really do it justice. |
