My name is Lee. Buell choppers are awesome, I love them and I don't care who knows about it. Anybody else want to come forward? |

The XB components are very interesting...nice shock, and oil in the swing arm to eliminate the oil tank......could work out.....REX |

Love what you ride, ride what you love. Motorcycling is about passion. Rex is right, that oil tank/swingarm thing could catch on!

The bike in the top pic looks SUPER dangerous... Seriously? the rear shock connected to the headtube with a two foot extension?????? People are crazy! Lee? have you seen mine yet? |

Hi Lee....the first step is admitting it....I too am a fan of all motorcycles...I think there is a 12 step program for people like us...I'm sure somebody who shall remain nameless (Buellgrrl) will be by at any time to show us the error in our ways, and how we can be become unhealthily attached in inanimate objects. Yeah Sam, that looks sort of temporary doesn't it? I thought he must be working on the real head tube in the background or something. I've not seen your custom. I've only seen your XB with the Force pipes. I remember you setting off all the car alarms in the American Bandstand parking lot on the way to RW's. Hey Larry, I knew somebody would get it. hehehe |

I don't think so Sam...Look at the end of the back bone...That end has been fabricated for the shock end...Crazy Larry |

I have always loved springers. The idea of mating a springer front-end to an XB tail is sort of cool. I reckon it reminds me of the crush I had on my teacher when I was in the third grade. Is that weird or what? |

Mrs. Heffly. Ahem...When I was in 3rd grade, the elementary school teachers were all women. I am from Texas - "the other red state." (Message edited by lowflyer on January 25, 2006) |

On closer examination, that head tube configuration looks like it might be some sort of ejection mechanism. If you hit something solid going more than 10 mph, it looks like the shock and tube joint would hinge upward and slightly aft. This might help the rider clear the handlebars and slow his forward momentum. Of course at slower speeds, the genitals, depending upon the density thereof, might absorb much of the ejection force. |

Oh, that isn't Mrs. Heffly. Here she is: I threw the mullet pic in there because any decent chopper thread needs a mullet or two. (Message edited by lowflyer on January 25, 2006) |

"Might absorb the ejection force" I just can't comment after that stunning waterfall picture was posted. I'd say that Chopper in the first photo got more flex in the chassis than a 1981 Honda 750 four. |

I'm gald I'm not the only one that say the HUGE problem with the shock being mounted to the backbone. I hope he plans on building a subframe for the seat. |

Maybe he's doing something of a semi-structural nature with this tank?
