Just curious, I was looking at a blast, and rememered a member here was working on creating a motard blast...just wondering how far it got..etc.. I remember the pic..

Umm..you mean this one? I'm actually going for the dual sport thing, but it could be motarded very easily after I'm finished.

With working long hours, looking for a house and fixing up my S3, I haven't got anything done to it, but I plan on starting back on it in the spring.

two questions bill: how much poundage were you able to scrape off the Blast, and what are your plans for front brake?

Would it be more easy to yank out the engine and jam it in a new frame?
How much does a blast engine weigh?

Probably not saving much weight if any with the larger forks. The wheels are aluminum, but I'm running heavy duty inner tubes.
I'm using an oversize brake rotor kit for a Yamaha YZ. It's a direct bolt on.
The suspension parts, wheels and brake master cylinders and calipers are Cannondale leftovers.
I would guess that it would take more cutting and welding to put the Blast engine in another frame than this will take.
