Yeah, we have a case going on where a guy in his 30's had been arrested for molesting a young girl. Then his brother kidnapped her, raped her and killed her. He was found with her body.
Both of their lawyers are trying every trick in the book to get evidence thrown out, etc.
This is a case where I think the lawyers should be hung right next to the two offenders. It's one thing to give a good defense, another to play tricks to try and get the scumbags off on technicalities.

Unfortunately our death penalty is too humane for this guy.

As a loving father of a 2 year old daughter, I say the death penalty is NOT in order.

Let general population take care of this issue, and we as tax payers will not need to pay for the needle to do the same deed. It will be a much more horrific and suiting end to a waste of skin. Remember what happened to Jeffrey Dhamer?

the truth is. we as a socitey allow this BS to happen. we tend to forget and forgive. Thats Gods job. Public Hangings should be brought back. Beatings in the town square.

People need to be afraid to commit such crimes. Right now they are not afraid.

I agree.

I was brutally gunned down in what remains the largest driveby shooting in the United States.

I watched the guy convicted.

One year later, he walked up to me in a pizza place late and night.

I have nearly no faith in the criminal justice system to either protect me, my family or loved ones or to rehabilitate anyone.

This has nothing to do with motorcycles and since Remington, the maker of the 1100 12ga. I was gunned down with, are not sponsors...well, we may have to move this thread.

I too could not finish the story, but from what I read I was reminded of a line from Parenthood where Keanu Reeves as Tod says: You know, Mrs. Buckman, you need a license to buy a dog, to drive a car - hell, you even need a license to catch a fish. But they'll let any butt-reaming a$$hole be a father.
As a father of a two-year old and one due in mid-Feb. I find the actions of this man to be unconscionable and horrific.

I am pretty liberal in most of my views. I have found an exception though. IMHO it is getting to be a crowded world, to crowded to put up with people who willing to commit agregious violence against others. In my perfect world if you are caught red handed useing a gun or or committing crimes against children, there is no jail, only death and death with-in 30 days. Instead of wasteing all that time and money on jail we could spend it on health care. Arnolds California budget has earmarked 76 million for healthcare for the poor and over $400,000 for new prisions.......

I was able to finish the article, somehow. I have a 2 year old and a 4 month old at home, and every muscle in my body tensed while reading that horror story. I think that every yuppie tree huggin moron that is against capitol punishment should read this story. Personally, I think that the death penelty should be modified, no more 20years waiting to die. within 30 days, thats it. Cruel and unusual punishment might deter some of these freaks and sickos. I have to get off my soap box, now, I could go on a lot longer. sick

Court:
I am stunned to read your comment and saddened to hear that the system failed soo miserably.

perhaps a return to a more draconian system would be better, in the case of the above horror, this is by no means the worst mistreatment of children, leave the US and this would be mild, I can't bring my self to repeat what I have heard from a missionary to south america that I know, I have been to one of the wealthier areas of central america, children begging for money in the streets.................

as the father of one almost 3 year old and the "step-father" of a 9 and 12 year old I am horrified that people like this exist. there is no reason to continue allowing them to breathe the same air that we are .. it is an insult to the entire human race that a creature of this sort is allowed to live. A dog that bites is put down, in my opinion this thing does not deserve the rights that the rest of us have all earned, fought for, died for suffered for ....

i have personally pi$$ pounded a guy i considered a good friend(i had been hearing rumors of him beating his girlfriend), i stood up for him until he did it right infront of me once. that i DO NOT put up with from anyone. i couldn't even stand the girl, but i dont care it just aint right.

i realize that is alittle different deal, but same principale. people just ignore it.

i have a 6 year old daughter, and if her stepdad to be(my ex best friend) ever touched her or something along those lines i would do way worse to him than i did when i caught him with my wife and that was a bad deal in itself.

the guy in the artical needs to have a certain body part cut off and then tied face first to a bed in general prison population.

enough ranting i guess....

I ain't interested in vengeance. I just want such evil people removed from society to a place that makes for a very difficult and burdensome life. A remote desert island with only the bare essentials. Ship 'em there and forget about 'em.

Blake...Deserted Islands are a rare commodity these days and make for great resorts.

Personally, shipping him to one of the Arab Countries where they come up with all sorts of sadistic public punishment might be in order.

Heck, if that works, perhaps our judicial system could learn something from the Arabs. LOL

That story really effected me. Capital punishment is to good for those two. They should be both sent to the toughest prison in the country and turned loose with the general population.

Prisoners (male or female) do have an honor amongst themselves. One thing that is not tolerated is child abusers. Maybe some real tough guys/gals could get ahold of them and straighten them out (on a cold metal table in some morgue).

That sick bastige needs to be strung up in public and dealt with where EVERYONE can see...instill some fear into those that would do this....SICK!!!! SICK!!!!! SICK!!!!

That statement is exactly correct.I agree 100%.
ANYBODY who does that kind of crap one sick s.o.b. Period.
I guess that means that this would be a better place to live if we executed more sick people?
Does fear cure sick people? I don't know.
Life at labor with no parole. As has already been said-let the prison population- a "jury of THEIR peers-"carry out THEIR sentence.
Having said that,I've got just enough time to get my nomex on and hunker down.

I also feel for the children that survived. They were so messed up by this guy, and so trained that this was the way life is that they told on this child. The mother also told that the yogurt was missing. How many people would even notice one missing cup of yogurt??
