Ventured solo after that and hit Hawks nest 44/55 and surrounding areas...

Hammer/guys - where is Hawks Nest? I found 44 on the map I think - is it called Seven Springs Road?

Here's a good one that incorporates the Gunks, Catskills, Ashokan Resivior:

-Meet in New Paltz
-Head up & Over Mohonk Mt
-In High Falls head east to Rosendale/Binnewater
-Back roads to Hurly, past the Hurley Mt Inn (the bar that was in the movie Tootsie)
-More back roads to come out by Woodstock HD
-Then head thru Woodstock (yes the town of the concert name, but not the site -just a bunch of residual hippies floating about) on Rt375 to Rt212 to Phonecia(great sweeping roads)
-Then Rt214 to Hunter/Windam (more great twisties)
-Then Rt23 west to Rt42 to Shandaken
-Alternate A** Then Rt28 east to Rt28A around (yahoo) the Ashokan to Rt213 to Rt209 to Rt44/55 over the Gunks back to New Paltz.
-Alternate B**Then Rt28 east to Rt 28A to Peekamoose Rd to Rt55A to Rt55 to New Paltz
-Alternate C**Then Rt28 west to Big Indain to Cty 47 to Cty 19 to Rt55 to New Paltz.

Some great roads, sights, and a couple of good places to get a quick eat and be back on the trail.

If anybody would like more accurate route plan, just email me at dgomo@aol.com

I imagine that there will be some more great routes posted over the (uuugh) winter months to head on as soon as spring springs..........

We haven't even discussed Dutchess Co into NE Conn into the Bershires - endless possibilites

Buelluk - Sorry to hear about the ticket. Glad to hear you are out on Saturday. It was a really nice day considering it is early November in New England. I spent the whole afternoon on my S3T.

Is this a regular thing. I ride up to bear mountain all the time on the weekends and have never seen another buell. is it because I ride from 6am to 9am before the cars come out and then go home? please post here next time you guys go - I only ever ride with gixxers and ninjas - it would be fun to ride with some pushrod vtwins now and then.

Monorad - It's nothing official we just show up when we want, really anytime between 9 - 12. We hang around for a while and BS, then some of us ride or go home. We usually meet at the top of Perkins Memorial Drive.
