early start with a ride up to 44/55, maybe hawks nest. looks like we'll have the usual's, except this time less hanging at perkins and more riding. too many leaf peepers clogging up the mountain this time of year. |

Hey guys, I'm ~9 miles into PA just off I-78. Would like to meet up with some other Bueller's and find some new roads. Was hoping to make it to Liberty last month but couldn't make it happen. Anyway...are you guys open to a couple of new faces to ride with? Realize the season is coming to a close but I ride until the snow flies or the road freezes...thanks. |

i'll probably have my wife with me on the dyna so my start time may not be as early as i had planned. not her fault, we'll need to set up a sitter for mini-me. if you want to meet up with some people real early at perkins (easy place, everyone knows where it is) i can probably hook up with you an the way out towards hawks nest? maybe i should swing by the loaf as we know tramp's history with early am rides? |

jethro, perkins may be closer to you than port jervis. do a search on bear mtn new york, about 5 miles south of west point. great roads and an easy place to meet. on a nice sunday am it will draw quite a few eclectic bikes, antiques, illegal imports, two strokes, etc, cool place. two of the best roads in new york are located within 10 minutes of it as well, one known as the "mini dragon". |

Well folks, As much as I would love to be on the ride, I will not be attending. This is the first weekend in 4 months that I am either not teaching, working, etc; so with that I am going to take Fritz's warning of insane Jugla hunters to heart and do some much needed outdoor work on the ole abode, perhaps in camo........now if a juggler wears camo, does he just have his balls visible? Scary thoughts indeed. |

saintly, you can bring the chop any time, fine by me. it's a real chop, made by it's rider to his own spec by his own hands and you ride the balls out of it. watchin you catch air up that mountain in the rain still makes me laugh, too cool. i guess watchin all these rich guy's on tv with their 100k sudo chops made me forget that their are still real ones being built by real riders. |

BigBlock, Ducxl likewise I really enjoyed your company. Bigblock is getting to be a regular around these parts. Ducxl's always welcome too. I will have to put a real route together. The ones we did today are some of my favorite roads, but there are others around here. Bigblock, I wish I'd have seen you scraping the pegs on that sneaky off-camber decreasing radius turn. I definitely took that turn too hot. It could've gotten ugly for me if there was a car in the oncoming lane. I need to experiment to get that Blasts front tire to stick a bit better. Anyways, I had a great time. See you next time. Steve |

Hmm, scrapin' em that way probably more fun to watch than do! Ya, work on that tire pressure or something, maybe it's just time for new rubber? It was fun, and great to meet you Greg, hope to see you around again soon. |

So where did you guys end up? Hope ya hit 218 sounds like that from the decreasing radius you speak of. Ray sorry didnt get back to you can hear phone till I stop. Lost Fritz on way down, think he went right when i went left. Ventured solo after that and hit Hawks nest 44/55 and surrounding areas. Tires almost gone so I didnt push it as usual but still had a swift ride anyway. Next time we dont need a plan just all leave at same time. My appologies for that, will catch you all on the next one. |
