When I went to start the bike all I got was a loud click and then all the lights on the speedometer and the headlight went out (like I blew a fuse). I checked the fuses and they are all fine. I also took the battery in and they told me that it was fully charged. When I disconnect the battery from the bike and then reconnect it the lights come back on until I try and start it again and get the same clicking noise. Where do I start with this problem? |

When you hold down the starter, is it a single click or is it a bunch of clicks like a machine gun? |

O.K this is weird. While I was checking wires with a circuit tester I put the ground wire on the frame and the pointer end on the positive terminal of the battery. It made a few clicking noises so I took it off. I then tried to start it and it started! It now starts fine on it's own. Problem fixed.....why? |

Check your Grounds from the battery to the frame. |

Tighten the ground connections. Use of a star washer can also help. Also, sanding off paint from the ground contact point on the frame can also improve this vitally important point. Dielectric grease, or copper based anti-seize, can also be good. |
