Has anyone here heard of any US owners doing a single-sided swingarm conversion with VFR,Ducati or Triumph swing arms for an S-1.

Jodie , I've always loved your XB conversion and even thought about doing it too. That swingarm alone had to be a pain in the ass to convert. I even talked to a guy who says he could make a single sider for the XB wheel. That way I could go ahead and do the frnt end as well.

BTW ,how much longer did that swingarm make the wheelbase and was it a noticeable difference.

It is now around 1455mm but because the rear ride height being raised and the 120-65/17 front Michlin Pilot I notice no difference, other than the fact that it's better ; ) better ground clearance and better rear shock design rides over bumps much better than my underslung oil leaker!

Jodie , didn't you have a thread on your rebuild 'cause I couldn't find one?

BTW what swingarm and wheel are you gonna try for a single sider.

Jimbo I'd think you could use the same shock location with a stiffer spring to make up for the extra leverage of the extensions.

T.F. We're talking about tuber swing arms not the oil carrying XB swing arms.

thats what im wondering. found this pic on google but no info on it. think they definately got the look they were going for. you could probly gut the tail section and custom make an oil tank to fit. run custom oil lines and all. my thoughts...

I have a Ducati swing arm I'm waiting to put on mine... I was about to start the project, but then realized the wheel i purchased did not have the same hub dimensions... and never bought another wheel to replace it.
