Ceramic coating may be better and it will handle a higher temperature especially for a longer time.

I don't think powder coat will survive on headers--too hot.

yep.. It'll melt. It's baked on at around 375(?)depending on color.

It will if the exhaust is ceramic coated first.

A dual coat will be somewhat more expensive

Wow that does sound cool. You could custom paint your exhaust with murals or candystriped or passion pink, heck the sky's the limit. I take it you would probably use a white base of ceramic first.

yeah ceramic coating is the way to go. baked at 350 but final cure is at like 600 once u fire the bike up and let it run. try http://www.caswellplating.com/powder/powder_colors .html# or

im actually throwing around the plans for a 55 gallon drum coating oven. it wont be big enough for a frame but should be good for tanks and smaller. it will be crude but cost effective.
