I have a loud winding noise coming from my drive pulley that I think is the tensioner bearing. I have not taken it apart yet so I am not 100% sure this is the problem. I have an 02 M2 and a high-pitched whining noise is coming from my front drive pulley. It gets higher pitched and faster as a speed up and slower when i slow down. It only stops when the bike is not engaged and I am pretty much at a rolling stop.

Is this an easy fix if this in fact is the problem? What is the cost of a new bearing? I want to do the work myself but have never worked on this area of my bike before.

I have had the same symptoms
Luckily it has only been a loose sprocket nut.I tightened the nut to the right torque, with some red loctite on the thread and all noise went away.
