I have a loud winding noise coming from my drive pulley that I think is the tensioner bearing. I have not taken it apart yet so I am not 100% sure this is the problem. I have an 02 M2 and a high-pitched whining noise is coming from my front drive pulley. It gets higher pitched and faster as a speed up and slower when i slow down. It only stops when the bike is not engaged and I am pretty much at a rolling stop. Is this an easy fix if this in fact is the problem? What is the cost of a new bearing? I want to do the work myself but have never worked on this area of my bike before. |

I have had the same symptoms Luckily it has only been a loose sprocket nut.I tightened the nut to the right torque, with some red loctite on the thread and all noise went away. Ralph (Message edited by Xldevil on June 25, 2008) (Message edited by Xldevil on June 25, 2008) |
