So I chopped my cheese grater on my XB12S yesterday and I am thinking of powder-coating it rather than paint, just for durability. Has anyone matched the seat rails successfully or does anyone have any recommendations to match the silver seat rails, or should I just paint it? Also, are the seat rails powder coated or painted? Thanks! |

I had mine powder coated, had to, bought it used and it was painted flat black with Kraylon plastic paint. So was the air box, flyscreen, chin spoiler (was cherry bomb). Took it to a power coating place here. They can match almost any color. I matched mine to the frame/gas tank. Not stock color. Looks good, cost about 30$ |

I matched my silver seat rails and chopped tail to the frame colour Graphite Grey. Gave them a good sand, and then a few coats with the OEM Buell spraycan. Looks like a factory job! Easy and cheap to do. |

I took mine to a power coating shop. They have numerous colors and I found one that matched perfectly. Only I went from the silver to the grey, made it all one color. |
