What confuses me is the clamp... that is the same as the S1120.G? I thought the clamp there was specific to the shoe... but maybe that's the point.

The American Sport Bike site doesn't seem to refer to any part number, that I can see. He does call it specifically the race shoe clamp. I would trust him to get it right, he's posted at length about this setup on this forum.

The instructions show two different clamp part numbers, one for the race shoe S1121.G, and one for the muffler/collector joint S1120.G. In the (poor) picture they appear identical.

Can't say for sure, but based on the description in the American Sport Bike site, I would surmise the race shoe clamp is just 1/4" bigger diameter, because of the thickness of the shoe.

The Joint clamp should be nominal 2.5".
You should be able to re-cycle the Joint clamp, at least once. (Even though book says not too.)
