Mystery- I put on a right side air scoop from American Sport Bike. Looks great and works as well. The cooling fan hardily came on at all compared to my buddy's bike and went off much earlier. Then, I put on ceramic coated headers which apparently reduce the temperature at the exhaust ports significantly. Now, the cooling fan doesn't come on at all. Even when I tried to get the bike to heat-up by letting it idle for a long time. It still doesn't come on. I live in a very temperate climate - average temperature is 52 F. And it is still Spring-time cool. The rear cylinder temp sensor is still connected and the wires to the fan are clean and secure. The only info in the service manual is for fans that always run/won't turn off. I'm stumped.

Hey - BWB - never mind. I have researched enough info elsewhere on the site to satisfy my curiosity. I think everything is fine. I live in a cool climate and the head is probably running well within the temperature range that would not need the cooling fan. Cheers. Ride hard. Ride safe. Ride BUELL.
