Does anyone know if the license plate holder is exactly the same on an early and late model M2? , each having the different tail piece.

very likely not, as the width of the tail sections are different . . . .

they are pretty well bonded to the tailpiece, as well, so getting it off in one piece may be iffy

I just checked the Banke Perfomance web-site about the Tail-piece eliminator (which I have on my 2000 M2) and it seems to not care what year, it just has an M2 kit. Doesn't specify early or late.

Are you going to be switching something around? Or chopping something off?

(your bike, I mean...)
