quick question: Are the early model S1 and M2 tanks entirely different? They are not identical, right? |

I do not understand the question. Are you asking if an S-1 tank is different from an M-2 tank? If that is the question, the answer is no, they are identical. |

Thanks Court, I wasn't aware that they are identical. |

I'm using the term "identical" to mean same material, same mfg process and so forth. I'd have to look to see if they share common part numbers, but I think they do. If you need REAL detail, drop me a note. |

Are you talking about changing out your 2001 M2 tank for a skinnier one? Something along those lines? Lot of people have said that the early M2 tank fits the later M2 frames. Are you asking if an early S1 tank would fit a later M2 frame? |

Yes. I want an older m2 tank. I saw one for an S1 on ebay and the guy claims it fits an M2. Now, I want to know if the S1 tank and the skinny M2 tank are the same size and shape ( identical). Thanks for the help. |

Inter -- they will interchange -- close to identical, for sure -- entirely identical, i'm not sure, to be honest but, at the end of the day, one can fit on the other, in either direction, and no one will be able to tell |
