There are two proven ways of solving this problem. It results from the removal of a necessary electrical load from the blinking circuit when the stock lamps are replaced with LEDs. 1. The easiest way to go is to order a #16086 turn flasher, LED, from American Sport bike, one of our sponsors. I have never used one, but I understand it replaces the stock flasher relay and is pretty much plug and play. 2. The do it yourself crowd may prefer to wire a 10 ohm 10 watt wire resistor across both the right and the left hand signal circuits, as shown in this wiring diagram.  I placed the resistors in the under seat area. Note that resistors of lower wattage should not be used as they may get too hot. Also note that wires going to the resistor must be insulated. try a BUSS flasher # BP/232 from o'relley auto parts. It's a 2 pin but works with the 3 pin connector. Only about $8. Slows things down |
