That's what I found,when I opened the primary. After electrical break down yesterday,I ohmed more than 4 Ohm between pins on alternator plug, voltage output was zero. How can both cables loose the insulation after only 30K kilometers?Never moved that cable or the alternator.  Ralph | ||

At 45K kilometers (28K miles) I had the same deterioration of the wire insulator that caused stator failure. This is an area that definitely needs to be improved. | ||

what type of primary/trans oil was used on both the bikes? |
