is somthing wrong with the vent system or is it normal to loose up to 1/2 cup of fuel when filling up?
I usualy fill right to the frame cut out.
isent there a pressure relief/check valve on the tube?

If you overfill it will vent it out. Try putting 1/2 a cup less and see how it does :-)
