Maybe picking up racing exhuast for an X-1 for a pretty good price. Will it fit on an M-2, will I have to change the brackets? The Cyclone currently has a Vance and Hines pipe, and stock headers with a home made intake similiar to the race set up. I was contemplating getting a full D and D system, but was wondering if the DandD was better or the Buell Racing exhuast. I am looking for low end torque and power for smooth wheelies!!

Sting the X1 has a hole in the front pipe for an o2 sensor which an M2 doesn't.Any one of the pipes you have talked about will do what you are looking for.I'm running the Buell race kit and am very happy and impressed with the performance.

The D&D headers have the same hole as the X-1 headers, just needs a little plug in it. A little exhaust system gunk seals the whole thing up. The header isn't going to cost you much, might as well put it on. There was also a post a while back written for Battle2Win that describes an interesting set up using an O2 sensor and and A/F meter to adjust jetting in carbs. Sounds like an interesting summer project... Can't seem to locate it right now though.
The X-1 and M-2 use essentially the same header and muffler, only difference is the addition of the boss for the O2 sensor. On the topic of brackets, make one of the flat old-style ones, so that SSR2 actually fits on the bike right...

(I've got the header he's talking about sitting in my garage...)
