Ok, i've decided to use amsoil 20W - 50 in both the primary and engine.

I can't seem to find what people are recommending to use for an oil filter.

Input?

I'm using the AMSOIL filters also. According to the independant studies I've seen on the web, they are the best filter also.

What's wrong with the HD part? $8 and available everywhere?

Can you give me a link to an independent test that compares the HD filter to the Amsoil used in a HD or Buell?

I've been using Bosch 3330 filters. They look exactly the same as the HD ones, right down to the stampings on the base. They are also made by Champion labs and you can get them at Auto Zone for $4.99. I've used them for two years on my M2, along with Mobil 1 V-twin 20W-50 and have had no problems with them.

I am a big fan of the Mobil 1 filters, and I've used them for years on all my my vehicles including the Buell. No problems whatsoever, not ever, not once. I think it's an excellent product. You can use the FL-1A equivalent on your Buell and pick up a good half-quart of oil capacity - always a good thing. I use the 3/4 size because I have a spin-on oil cooler.
