Well the unbelievable staff at SMHD/BUELL had two on hand and are waiting for me to come and get them. These guys rock. B_S, I am sorry you are green, I woke up late and had no time to get to work, the Buick needed gas and that alone is a 20min. adventure and I only had 25min. to get to work, got on the bike and split. Of all the things to happen I got rear ended on the bike today. No damage(besides a slight bend in the lip of the rear rim) and no injuries, I did not even drop the bike. Long story short left lane of traffic is not moving and I am in the empty right lane. You know the drill some fool changes lanes right as your passing him, well I got around unhurt and turned around to give him the finger when I see HE IS GIVING ME THE FINGER! Well as pissed as I was I stopped and well he couldn't. We looked at the damage and I told him My bike is ok your car is ok lets call a truce and shook hands. Only two steps left. Cutting the slot for the temp sensor and put it back together. I marked it up for the holes and took it to work to cut them yesterday. A guy I know at work has has a neat little tool that I borrowed to cut the holes. If I can get caught up, I may be starting her up for the first time in a long while. The weather looks nice, but the belt doesn't. I want to spend the money for the '04-'05 belt and I'm still in the planning stages of this job, but I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. If I'm playing with the bike, I'll post a message. There is no need to cut anything else except for the "X's" for the breather tubes. There is already a slot to allow the IAT sensor wire to come thru on the right hand side. I am going to have to order special tools from snap on so the bike is going to be down for a couple weeks. I came up with my own spring compressor that works very well though. Thank you for the tip, I have been thinking of something I could cut in half to do that and you lit the bulb. I owe ya one.
