July 30th though August 6th.
I'll only be able to do a long weekend at best, because it's so soon after Home Coming.

Ok I know we're supposed to 'talk' motorcycle stuff but I am sooo excited I can't contain myself and had to tell


I just got a new job!!!
Whoohooo!!!
I have been with my current company for 6 years and I thought I had such a good deal I wouldn't be able to find anywhere that could meet it much less beat it. Well I did. The first place I interviewed less than a block from my house!!!
I still get to work from home and I will actually do less work and make more money!!!!
I am so excited I can't stand it. I have to wait to tell my current boss to 'shove it' but I will be counting the days till I can- gotta make sure he pays me before I tell him to take a hike.

Then I get home and my friend that owes me a paint job on a bike just called and she's going to do it for me by the end of Feb.
She is awesome, in fact I've run into a couple bikes she's painted at bike shows. She does such an awesome job.
I am so excited I don't think I can sit still!!!

Die hard Badweatherbikers, The Tex was just what I needed. Had a great time, I wish Shred would have stuck around to see one long arse second gear. I tried to pull a wheelie leaving the Tex but just spun the rear tire.

I had a great time last night as well.
We all needed that.
All ya'll that couldn't make it, you were missed.
I wasn't missed.
I was a victim of road rage

Last night as we were headed home.
This guy in front of us slammed on his brakes.
I flashed my lights and backed of a little.
He did it again.
Shred got in the other lane, too much traffic for me to do the same.
He slammed on his brakes again a little harder this time.
I flashed my lights again and got over to the left, so when I had the chance I'd get in the right lane.
This time he SLAMMED on the brakes making his tail end lift up.
I had the room and got over.
Just as I was going by him I looked over at him as if to say WTF.
He jerked his wheel knocking my bike.
My tail end swung out causing a nasty tank slapper, knocking me off the bike.
I hit the pavement, and rolled from my front to my back.
The bike spun around on it's side and hit me in the head.
All the protection I and the bike were wearing worked.
I picked up the bike and the guy was yelling about me hitting his car?
After I got my wits about me(?)
I just wanted to go home.
I was scared this guy was crazy enough to do more.
After we got home I saw what's under the paint of my helmet, and the scuffs on my visor.
My leather is scuffed up also.
After I saw all that, I knew I could have died.
Physically I'm OK, Mentally, I'm a train wreck.
I've not slept yet, and I'm very tired, but don't think I could sleep if I tried.
I am living proof that leather and a helmet saves lives.
I also know now, when in doubt, slow down more than you think you need to.

Thanks, I havent got it yet! I still have to work out the financing from Buell, I'm sure it wont be a problem though. I'll be at SMHD/BUELL when the doors open tomarrow! what a crappy weekend!! I'll just have to park it in front of the fireplace and keep er company!!

I'm OK, my gear worked great. Won't ever ride without it again.

The handle bars are bent, but I have the cross roads coming.
The shifter is broken, Shred has a spare.
Frame slider is toast, I'm gonna see if I can buy just one, if not I may just go with the pucks.
A blinker is broken.
Mirror gone, REI here I come.
That's about it I think.
