Well Sharon is out of town so I am a bachelor for the weekend. So what does a temporary bachelor, ready for action do??? Go for a motorcycle ride of course!!!!
Thinking of a ride somewhere Sunday morning. I have no particular time or location currently in mind.

Man do I want to get back out with you guys finally. Been a busy year so far with the baby being born on new years eve then snapping my ACL in April right before the real riding season. :-( just had the surgery two weeks ago and should be good to ride in about 6 weeks. But biggest concern is the weight gain. LOL. Looks like I'll be buying some new race leathers!!! |

Mid Ohio race is coming up. I still plan to ride to Mansfield Ohio on Friday. It will be 295 miles or about 5 hours. From Munster, it is a straight shot on US Route 30. Sunday will be a 5 hour ride home after the race.

Yes, that's right, it is that time again. Thursday August 2nd, 7PM at IL H/D meeting at the picnic benches. Come on out and seen the new rides, hear of past rides, Speedy's racing successes, EBR news from the inside, and of course all the member's plans for local rides, MotoGP and or planned/proposed track days.

My anticipated Moto GP schedule:
Thursday - Ride down in the morning, go to the Indy ducati GP party from 11am to 4:00. Go to I plan to Euro Bike night starting at 7:00 at the Brockway Public House at 126th and Old Meridian St. on the North side of town. I went there last year and there were a lot of non HD bikers.
Friday - Go to watch practice. Maybe go for a nice ride south of Indy before. Bikes on Meridian.
Saturday - Go watch qualifying. Maybe go for a nice ride south of Indy before. Indy Mile in the evening. Bikes on Meridian.
Sunday - Go to the race. Go home
Who is up for it? Mike bring your bike and maybe we can fit in a ride! |

Marc and Tim G have been taunted and are joining Tim S but will be riding down on Saturday morning. Marc and Tim G are meeting somewhere in Chicago Metro Saturday 930amish and will be returning to Chicago Sunday late afternoon evening.
Events to see other than MotoGP include the Indy Mile and the Downtown Indianapolis Bike night in Sat Night.
Please let us know who else wants to go.

Hi gang--been offline for a few days, so sorry for the late offer. Have 4 (and poss. a 5th) front row seats in sect. 6 for the Indy Mile. Will be in Indy from Thursday evening on, so PM me (for my cell #) or propose a meet-up at IMS or in front of the fairgrounds' grandstand... I just got back from having dinner with Kevin Schwartz. Turns out he is an avid cyclist and knows the Austin Tx Zipp distributer and is here for his riding school. My son brett invited me to the dinner. Very nice guy. Should see him at the track on Saturday. |

Mike Kirkpatrick wanted me to post that the EBR race truck and bikes will be on display at the Iron Horse Hotel this Thursday. I believe it is located near the HD museum. I believe it will be there around 7:00 pm.

I believe Curt Ringwald is registered for the Labor Day full track day at Autbahn CC. I am also set up for that day, if anyone else is set for Sunday or Monday let us know.

Dana, the Track Day at Autobahn on Labor Day was much fun. Very hot and very full attendance. There were quite a few crashes, run-offs and stops for several ambulance transfers to the hospital. I guess it was end-of-summer over exuberance for some. But Keith and I kept it on two wheels and survived. |

Mark your calendars. Slimy Crud is Oct. 7th. Hope the weather is nice this year. I may talk my brother Jeff into coming up for the ride. Marc, I know your out there, don't be shy. Tim, the honeymoon should be over by then, no excesses. I believe the ride is mandatory this year. Only Mike K is officially exempt from the ride due to NOLA.
I'm serious about this. Don't push me!
