I hope to make the ride but may not be able to do the whole ride. Also, I have already been asked to ride with a group of riders that I am taking a longer trip with later. If I can get the thing running properly, I was planning to make the ride on my 1976 Water Buffalo instead of my Uly as it seems more in spirit with the ride. Bud from Hal's mentioned the crud ride and your meeting spot is a lot closer to me that the spot for my other group. I'll post what I'm doing here as I have a better idea what I'm doing. | ||

Sorry! Missed the Crud Run as my Suzuki was still being repaired and my son had a late invitation to a midday birthday party. I won't be able to make the next meeting as my kids have a Spring concert that evening but hope to make a future one! | ||

Dan, a Rally is a pretty big undertaking. we've helped in the planning stages for a couple of Buell homecomings. It's a thankless, nearly full time job... And it's hard enough time getting people to come to the meetings, much less a rally  | ||

Excerpt of Bob's email: At our meeting, we talked about how fast the riding season is going. We must take advantage of any riding weather we can. We are going to meet at Dennys on the corner of Grandview and Silvernail Dr. (Waukesha) this Sunday the 18th. If you want to eat breakfast we will meet at 8:00am. If not, others can meet at 9:00ish. Sunday's ride will be led by Dave. He is planning either a 4 hour or a 5.5 hour route to Bangor and then onto Madison. Dave knows the Wisconsin roads better then any GPS. If you want a great ride, go on a "Dave ride". Please ride safe. | ||

SLIMEY CRUD RUN There hasn't been much talk here about tomorrow's Slimey Crud Run. Weather looks good, with a sunny day, and cold morning. I'm planning on the usual get-together at Kwik Trip by Le Duc's on Hwy 18. The temperature reached 45° about 8:30 this morning. Tomorrow should be about the same, so I'll be there before 9:00. FYI, E-mail from Bob this morning: The annual Slimy Crud run is this Sunday, October 2. We will be meeting at the Kwik trip on HWY18 and 83. (The one next to LeDucs). Our departure time is 8:30 and then heading out towards Mineral Point to meet up with the others. Lets hope for a beautiful day. (Unfortunately, I'm out of state and won't be able to make it. Have a great ride!) | ||

I'm afraid I will be missing this Fall's slimey crud run.... Which sucks. But I screwed up my arm at work a couple of months ago, and it's just painful to ride for more than about 30 minutes. Have fun and ride safe! | ||

It was a beautiful ride on Saturday (notwithstanding a small detour to fix a tire). 340 miles across SW Wisconsin, enjoying the warm weather, Fall colors and great WI roads! Thanks for a good ride, Dave. | ||

I have a 1995 S2. The tail section fairing has stress cracks and all of the fairings have nicks and minor abrasions. This winter I would like to have the fairings repainted. Can anybody recommend someone in the Milwaukee area that has access to or match the original paint and can do restoration of the fairings? | ||

I want to get there by 9:30 or so. If you want to ride up together, we can meet at the Waukesha County Court House. Lets get there at 7:45 so we can leave by 8:00. Ride update... Saturday, July 7 - We're currently planning to do the ride up to Mindoro Cut near La Crosse and back. Full day ride, probably leaving around 8am from Le Duc's in Wales. Also, weather permitting, we may do another "Shadows" ride tomorrow (Sunday, 7/1) - 3pm Le Duc's. | ||

Damn.... July 7th. Wont have the ulybolt rocker box gaskets fixed by then. And I dont think my knees or my ass can handle 400+ miles on the CR. The shadow ride is also out. We're currently on our way down to Blackhawk farms to watch Mowhawk Matt race. Good luck, and ride safe. | ||
