Mark,

I also enjoyed the ride home from Union after the Midnight Tour. I'm glad I rode with you and Woody instead of taking the Tollway home like I originally planned. There is something very satisfying about riding the secondary roads with a small group of bikes late at night. My shoulder didn't really bother me too much, so things are look'n up.

Sam,

Aside from the rain at the end of a long day, it sounds like the Joliet race ride was fun. Do they actually run GN dirt track races in the rain in that slop, or do things get rescheduled?

Dave Hume and the rest of the members of our Oak Park Hog Chapter have invited the BRAG Chapter to once again join them in celebration of the Christmas Holiday. I know it sounds a little early but booking a hall, etc. for that large a group takes some prior planning. Think it over so we can vote on it at the next meeting and give the HOG guys an approx. number in the near future. Sam

Hey, they don't have any gripe with me.......yet

Personally, I liked the Xmas event last year and would vote to do it again. It was a well run, fun, friendly, very well-atended kind of night out with a great group of people.

kind of disappointed. Hogs for dogs cancelled. here's the letter cant blame them they are out to make money for a charity.

Kirk,

Hello from Cleveland, OH. I talked with Steve Metz a while ago and found that we never really firmed anything up with your local dealer for that Saturday. In the meantime, we were offered a full booth at Milwaukee's House Of Harley shop on the 31st during the Wisconsin Rally. It was an offer that we couldn't pass up, even though it means we have to ride 100 miles after the event to get back for our radio interview in the WGN studios that evening.

Just a reminder that the Blackhawk Farms Trackday is next Wednesday, July 28th. There's still plenty of room if anyone is interested. Those who are on my list that haven't paid, please do so. Sam

Weekend weather within 400 mile radius of Chicago in any direction looks absolutely perfect for riding....mild temps, clear and 0% precipitation. Is anyone up for riding this Friday, Saturday or Sunday? Post here to generate interest and/or call my mobile 708 373-5445. I'm up for anything.....long, short, overnight, Galena, Kettle Moraine, Starved Rock, local, far, whatever.

Starved Rock,

There's a small group of us from Uke's club riding down to Starved Rock on Sunday, meeting at Uke's at 8:00. Of course you big city guys might not be interested in riding with us "Northerners" !! LOL

CJ,

And here I was thinking of playing in your neck of the woods this weekend. Are you all getting bored with the GREAT Wisconsin riding opportunities right outside your back door? Must be nice!

Regarding Starved Rock, would your group be interested in picking up a more backroad (i.e. fun) route starting around Willow Springs, or alternately, Joliet, IL? It would add 60-90 additional minutes to reach Starved Rock verses super-slab route. But it's much more interesting, less traveled and allows more opportunities to stretch sport-bike legs prior to hitting the best stuff near Starved Rock.

Let me know if interested and I'll provide more detail. I even have a (text) route map I can post.

What route were you planning on taking?
