OK guys we need to figure out a better way of 'planning' rides.

I think that the Thursday night Vortex thing should be a standing 'official' ride and it should just be common knowledge that everyone meets at SMHD at 5:30 to leave by 6pm. If Pete can break away and ride great, if he is selling a bike and busy even better, he can go down when he's ready.

The reason I think we need to have some better planning is that I and some others would have gone today if there were some more set details by Saturday to plan around. I talked to Vicki and Jack and since we didn't know for sure if anyone was going to do anything we rode to Jackson with the HOG group. Not near as much fun as riding with you guys but it was something we knew would happen

And about Friday we need to get details regarding where. I know it starts at 7:30 in Athens, but where?
Travis, Do you have more info??
We should meet up at SMHD, it's a good take off point and then see if we can meet up with Travis along the way. To be in Athens and in our 'seat' by 7:30 for the show what time do we need to meet and expect to leave??

Pete you are telling your superiors that this is an 'Official' BRAG ride to Athens that requires your presence, right??? I think they owe it to you after how well you ran things for them while they were gone, don't you??? Unless Friday nights provide you a better opportunity to sell a bike then by all means do what you need to but I would hope you could go.

Well that's my .02 for the evening....

OK guys we need to figure out a better way of 'planning' rides.
I wouldn't call this a ride really.
We just had some time left after we cleaned the gutters.
All in all about two and a half hours tops.
We just rode around the city lookin' 'round.

Ann has pretty much started taking for granted the Vortex on Thursday night.
Posting here who's gonna me where is still a good idea. Because we all can't meet a SMHD/Buell all the time.

That said it was a good time lookin' 'round foe neat back drops for a pic or two.
There were a lot of places I would have loved to put the bikes for a pic, but would surely have gotten in trouble.

MAN! ! ! ! That spot for pictures is AWESOME...The graffiti looks killer with the "Hooligan" bikes! That would be a kick spot for about 10-15 of us in front of that.
Torqer...The belt install is TOO easy...seems real tight though compared to the old one...i guess that's just because my old belt has about 9500 miles huh?

Sorry I missed the photo shoot, was doing the 129,60,180 loop all morning. Lost a lot of ride time with two guys laying the bikes down, but no injuries. I also regret not being able to to the Vortex this week, Moms birthday is on thursday so I will be attending her party. Oh and cylcle gear was a nice visit yesterday, the guys were nice and asked tons of questions about the 12r. cheap stuff too.

A4TR. I'm would have loved to better organized Sunday's ride so that everyone could have made it. Sorry it didn't work out that way this time. There were a lot of differing plans for each of us this go around. Rodi's bike is down. Mike had his prior obligations. New12R had made plans with another riding buddy. Frogger has been covered up at work. B_S has been out of town at a conference. I had been away from my family the past few weekends and needed to clean some gutters. So, it was a difficult time to make plans. Sorry to all those who may feel like they've missed out. Especially Cesar who was looking forward to his first ride with us. Things took a turn for me on Saturday night when my wife made plans with her mother and sister until 1:30. That meant, if I could get the gutters done early and quickly, there would be time for a short ride. So a called and woke Glitches family up first thing Sunday.(hey, you offered to help) then we snuck in a quickie with photos. I bet we spent as much time setting up photos as we did riding. Sorry.

Rodi you are right! we need to ORGANIZE a time when as many of us as possible can get together for a photo opp with one or some of these back drops. The good news is we now know where they all are and what time of day would be best for lighting.

Glith: The Photoshopping looks great. It looks like we "went up" right over someone else's tag. That is a major insult in the graffiti guys world. It just proves we're Buelligans!

Thursday Vortex of course.
Shred's idea of spending the weekend in the mountains is awesome.
I'd love to, but I've just be informed that I'll be out of town Saturday. So I'll see who ever makes it up on Sunday. I should have the whole day, so I'll just leave out Sunday early and plan to spend the day.
Any other day this week well be "Local Urban Rural Assaults" or "LURA".

Very sharp...Don't know yet on the hand guards. Not sure if I like them yet. If I get hit a few more times in the knuckles w/ rocks, I will be sportin' them. It is very Streetfighteresk for sure.

A4TR...I think it is hilarious that they called it the XBX. I think you might of had some esp, talkin' about the xbx a few weeks ago at TWO.

XBX- see great minds think alike.

OK so who is up for going to Athens Friday evening?
I figure if we meet at SMHD at 6 we should have plenty of time to get there and get decent 'seats'.
How does that sound and who's in???

Travis, do you have any extra floor space if anyone wants to drink a little and not drive back?
All the hotels are full for the HOG rally.

A4TR...I will have to play it by ear until it gets closer. It is really hard for me to get to SMHD at that time of day due to the f..in' traffic, so I might have to meet ya'll somewhere further north. We'll see. My buddy's band isn't playing Friday night but on Saturday night. Oh well, guess that two birds with one stone thing can't happen.

I have a futon and plenty of space on the hard wood floor for anyone who wants to stay in town!

I am not sure about friday yet, but I do have a
question, Glitch, do you remember me telling you about my brake vibration? Well I am sure now it is not the tire but the engine. Right at 3,000 to 3,500 rpm it is a higher pitch oscillation, about every 60th of a second or so, not present at lower rpm's or in first gear. I can feel it at higher rpm's but it does not oscillate. This feeling is hard to describe without sound effects or a ride. I also noticed that my valve train has developed excessive noise since this afternoon. If any of you have experienced this let me know, I will be searching the knowledge vault later tonight. Pete if you know of this your help would be appreciated, also warranty related? I know the manual says I dont need to change the oil untill 5,000 miles but, that seems like a long time. Anyway look forward to riding with everyone again, I will try for friday but like B_S would have to meet closer to Athens. B_S, no I did not lay my bike down this sunday, my buddy
"T" did. On 129 close to the bottom of the run there are a couple nice right handers but one tightens up really fast and he did not trust his bike, panicked and braked hard, rode into the gravel and dumped it. No injuries but valuable lesson learned, "Trust Your Bike". The other guy was just tagging along(kind of him and his buddy were slow as hell). This guy just tried leaning over way to far and dropped the bike, slid down the road aways and tore up all his cheap as gear. Makes me want to ride with Yall even more, cant deal with that much drama in one ride. Gotta cook chat later.
