While your at it, why don't you just carbon fiber the entire bike? Oh yeah, I forgot the under tray, and lower fairing... |

I will be at the Tex. tonight, might have a couple other buddies show up as well. Would love to meet at SMHD/B but dont think I can be there by 6:30. I will try but dont wait up for me.

S2Pengy...the prepreg I am familiar with gives a rough finish and looks kinda rough when finished. Usually you have to get about 350 deg. You can do it in a conventional oven but you might stink up the house not to mention your food will taste like resin. I have a infared(sp), digital oven that will had a piece of plastic 40"x35" at my office. I am going to try to laminate a small piece today using the standard mold with dry layup and acrylic resin. I took off the Oil Cooler scoop to try it. It looked simple enough to do it fast. I might have it ready to show you tonight at the Vortex. That is if work dosen't get in the way! Curses! Foiled again.

I probably won't make it tonight, I have a meeting with a client at 6:30 and he's a talker so I doubt I'll be free till about 8.
That and I still have a very bald back tire I have to find time to deal with and I really don't want to get stuck in the rain with it!!!

glitch...Is that a close up of the apparition from the pic on sunday's ride?
I have the oil cooler fairing laminated and waiting for the resin to cure. Looking very cool. I just hope the inner bag was able to capture the contours. |
