Whoever wheelied out of the parking lot at The Other Place last night had a "responsible adult" running out to chastise you! Apparently he could not run as fast as a blue Buell! I think the quote was "We can't have people doing stuff like that!" This was reported to me by a Blue Knight buddy, who was amused by the whole thing! Buelligan!!! S1 is now running after a Qualified tech fixed it!!! (discuss later, something about loose bolts????) War against Gail's Non Union people installing glass in her new facility was a go last Saturday. 8 Local Union members showed and hand billed the Bar-B-Q and left Just before the police arrived!! She said (Gail): Quote, "I awarded the general contract to Meyer's construction, they chose to use non-Union not ME!!". Well, we will just have to see the quality of the glass job when it is GRAND Opening day won't we----WONT WE!!! Thats right!! Grand opening day, we will storm the place again, (Hopefully more than 8 riders) with Union apparel to show are revolt. | ||

No non Union pun was intended for ALL that was offended.  Bottom line: If you are being treated and paid fairly at your place of work, and you are living your life style to the best you can provide, plus you have the best benefits for retirement that you can see, then you are doing well for yourself and the more power to ya!!! Blue Knights = Motorcycle club consisting of police officers. We have a contract security guard force at the courthouse. Most of them are retired police officers, the remainder retired military law enforcement. Wasn't there, One of them is the Blue Knight that saw the Buelligan activities and was telling me about it at work. He thought it was funny. He also said the local cops were stopping bikes and writing tickets for equipment violations, choppers with no front turn signals... pretty petty. He rides a VTX and is a former wheelman. Nope... I am not in that club... I am too much of a non-conformist to fit in there. Though I am a member of the Kansas City BMW Club. | ||

Any news on Dave? The only hospital I can find in Olathe is the Olathe Medical Center, and they say he's not there. Any info appreciated. | ||

To all concerned, Dave Tripper, as far as I had heard from Sam that is, is doing great. The condition was mild and he is doing good I believe. Sam said he went there today (Friday) and he was looking good and going home whithin a few hours. Sounds like he got off the bus at the right time!! Get well Dave!! We are thinkin of ya!! | ||

Talked to Dave around 6 or so.He was on the way home.He said ,he had a mini stroke that lasted for about 15 secs,decided he needed to be checked out at the hospitol.They ran a battery of tests,blood work,head MRI,he hasnt got the results back or talked to any doctors.He said he was feeling FINE!That in its self ,is a GOOD THING.Hopefully they will find the cause and the cure,if they can. | ||

CALM DOWN!!! Here I is.... I had a TIA - aka "Mini Stroke". I'm fine now but it was scary for a minute when I turned to my wife and say "Jean, doooh, doooh. aww i uh uh" (Translation: Jean, STROKE! STROKE! CALL 9-1-1!) and of course she thinks your being a goof. Eventually she got the message and jumped into action. Thanks for the calls and concern. Other than taking an aspirin and a thyroid pill every day I don't anticipate much impact from Thursdays event. DaveT | ||
