Is there any way we can get an idea of the plans or time frame for Thursday in case we get there in time to catch up with everyone? We might even meet up with the group on the way in, especially if the group is stopped for lunch or dinner. Before I contact anyone for info, how many t-shirts were you thinking we need? This place is local for me, so I would have them made, and bring them with me. I will see what it costs for American made T-shirts also. I think Hanes are still made in the good ol' US of A. My wife thinks they can silkscreen anything we can come up with. We will need some creative suggestions. I am not in it for ANY profit at all. I will volunteer my time and efforts completely. The shirts will cost whatever they cost from the silkscreen shop. My wife suggests we come up with a design. I can give it to the shop. Whoever wants one can then contact the shop and pay for their shirt with a credit card. I can then bring all the shirts with me when I come. That way I won't have to try to collect from everyone, or get stuck with extra shirts. They probably won't be able to keep up anyway Is anyone tent Camping, or recommend a good campground in the area? Two years ago I camped around April 3rd in Bryson City. I have a room reserved at the hotel. The Deal's Gap Resort has plenty of room for camping. A few BadWeb folks camped there last year. Some prefer the Ironhorse which is an excellent campground. That's where this Buell/Dragon event started, only problem is they block off all cabins and rooms for a BMW group and tent camping is the only choice us Buell folks are left with. I dropped off my wheels to get new tires today. Vince, the three of us coming from Dallas/Fort Worth should be there in time to make the 4:00 ride on Thursday. Barring any travel problems, we should be there around 12:00 to 1:00. Does the ride start at the Deals Gap Lodge? I will simply ride in back, and take my time. I have a GPS. I won't get lost. Is there much of an issue with wildlife coming out in the road? You have to be very careful here in Texas when riding back roads near dark. You'll end up hitting a whitetail deer or a feral hog if you're not careful. I'll have my HID's burning brightly on the way back! The three of us coming from Dallas/Fort Worth are meeting up this Saturday for a dry run on the trailer to be sure they all fit securely. I can't wait to see all these Buells at Deal's Gap. To avoid the group rides being too big we may have to break into two groups. One leaving about ten minutes before the other. I think those are people who have been pulled over there and ticketed before, trying to do a fast run on a weekend in the middle of July, so of course they suggest people go somewhere else. At least no one has PM'd me this year to tell me how they know of roads that are so much better, and that they don't like Deal's Gap. My suggestion to them is...stay home, we'll have fun without 'em.
