What is te riding style on this gathering? I like to have fun, but I'm not looking for an all out road race. I have to go home in one piece. | ||

Aside from the Gap, there are tons of other great roads in the area to explore... No road racing license needed. If my schedule works, I'd like to come down for this, run the gap once and then ride everything else in the area. Prior | ||

We've usually done planned rides. Faster riders get up front, while others stay toward the back. While we like to enjoy the curves, I wouldn't call it road racing. If anyone wants to do triple digits, fine, but they're on their own. People are always quick to point out that there are other roads here. We know that, and we ride them. The Dragon event is pretty much a come & go as you like, and do what you want event. Most like staying at the Deal's Gap resort, the DGMR has been real good to us. Some would rather stay somewhere else. I know several people will be getting there Thursday, others get there when they can. This thing is currently being planned. Tell ya the truth I could use some help. We had a real good crowd last year and I'm thinkin' this one will likely be more. | ||

I had a family reunion in Arkansas the same weekend as this gathering last year. I would have been there otherwise. I trailered the Buell to the Ozarks after the reunion and had some fun anyways. It is a long haul to Tennessee from Dallas Fort Worth, but I really want to come this year. It depends on when the family reunion is this year.  | ||

My wife just cleared me to go. If I go or not depends on when my family reunion is this year. Do they have room at Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort for my pictured truck and trailer? That's a 16 foot trailer. | ||

Cherry and I will be there again this year. She will likely be riding my old lightening even though it is currently becoming a firebolt . Vince let me know if there some way i can help out. Depending on gas prices we may trailer or ride it. Likely have one or two other buddies coming along. | ||

Looks like I'll be there. I got it cleared with work, and the wife. I will be rolling in on Thursday afternoon or evening. It just depends on how far I get after work on Wednesday. It's a long haul from Dallas Fort Worth. I'll be carpooling. We will have two 1125R's on my trailer. I will be ready to ride till it hurts all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If there is a break in the riding plans, I might ride to Gatlinburg, Tennessee to visit my older brother I have not seen in 6 years. | ||

 We have room for one more if you are willing to pitch in on gas. There is plenty of room on my trailer. The truck will be just a little crowded. We will have to put all our luggage and gear in the bed. Think raintight, just in case. Gofast called shotgun, but it's not bad in the back seat. I'll PM you with details. It might be tomorrow night before I get to it. | ||

Dragonslayer,is someone actually planning group rides, or is it a free for all? If there is someone planning, is that someone you? I am more than willing to help with plans in any way, but I am in Texas. I have never been to the area of the Dragon. T-shirts would be cool. My wife might know where to get some made. She has a few connections. I'll find out. | ||

I've got a planned ride in mind for Friday that will take us on alot of hwy 28. A friend of mine will probably lead a ride on Saturday that will include the Cherohala Skyway. Nothin' planned on Sunday, that's when most have to head back. Last year alot of us just played on The Dragon on Sunday. Thursday, still planning. | ||

Honolulu, you should be there. It looks like it will be a good time. I am chomping at the bit. That means I'm excited. I picked up new tires today. I really don't need them just yet. I'll put them on before April. I'll have fresh rubber when I show up at the Dragon. | ||

Thursdays and Fridays events have pretty much been planned. A friend of mine is putting together Saturday. Some good rides and some good eatin' is what we've got in mind. |
