yes i can imagine what would have happened if you hadn't have been wearing your leathers.
so did your bike hit the other car? i see your muffler came un-capped.
did you get ticketed for reckless driving or just failure to yieild?

Awesome Mike, I hadn't looked at the post when I got your txt message!!! you're awesome!
I was by myself, the muffler came uncapped getting it out of the truck without a ramp. (big ass Nissan Titan where the tailgate is 3 feet off the ground) But I've got the stock I can throw on it so, I'm not even phased by that. |

No law enforcement was involved since it was a single vehicle crash. The only charge that would have been applicable would be "Failure to maintain vehicle" (Reckless driving) So, I just picked up my bike and parts and sat and waited on my wife.
Insurance company and the Towing Company that they use both get "F's" for Sunday Afternoon Service since they were both closed. Oh well, I guess as far as State Farm is concerned, I still have a perfect record. |

Thanks guys. I can use all the help I can get. All the parts are less then my deductible so I think I'm doing the right thing. We'll see, I got to get it back up and running for April Buells day. |

Crazy thing is, that was a iPhone pic. I would never think that they would be that clear. I've been trying to be brave with the new bike, and it's pretty inspiring too, but it's still really new to me and high compared to the old Blast. What with the rarity of the bike now I'm takin her easy, but still having some fun. |

we had a great time teaching my kids how to hunt for snipes. uncles and aunts helped out and practiced thier elk calls to reaallly get the kids into it. |

i didnt waste any time scrubbing in this new rear strada. the thusday night sales are good enough to make me wait til the next thursday night sale to buy stuff.
the sales guys/gal and customers were all surpised that i rode up and pulled the tire off the bike. i scuffed the paint/caoting on the swingarm around the axle hole cuz i thought i could pull it off with just a crecent on the alxe nut. lesson learned.
ya gotta have more leverage and/or jube the threads to ease a roadside belt swap |
