You can head to Suches anytime you're ready Tom! Cabin won't be rented until Thursday unless there is enough interest for an extra day. Carlos and I...well, I won't be able to get away until Thursday. Asking a lot of grandparents to take on 3 kids for more than a couple of days. On the other hand, you'll have to come cut mountain grass with us in VA next spring! Some great roads up that way that we only show you...never post their location! LOL! | ||

Hahaha... I'm not too bad right now. bike is still rideable just not with my throttle wrist busted. It just needs a kickstand, handlebars, speedo, mirrors and some plasitcs for the cosmetic touch. I picked this name cuz thats what a few people started callin me so i figured it would be easiest for the people there to remember me by. | ||

We gave GT and T.W.O. the biggest best weekend of the season. I thank you, and GT thanks you. Y'all rock! Thanks all for coming out and playing in the back yard. It was great to meet new friends and see some old ones. There was a little sadness as we sat around the campfire missing a few 3%ers. when you know its going to be a rough couple days...!!!  and about 10 miles into our first official ride...  barker is standing up by that tree there for a little perspective... that tree was damn big! id say the bike was close to 70? ft down the bank of that cliff.      whats even better is no real injuries and the bike was on the road again the next day!!! about 10 miles after that...   pick it up, brush it off, and go like hell again! (after i had to give the talk about riding your own pace...) and fixing... (doesnt he look so guilty of something...! lmao) tearing stuff apart to see whats chewing the grove in the belt. must have had a rock wedged in there.  and fixing... (v&h exhaust was shot)  and more fixing... (cords showing is not a good way to play down here!)    (Message edited by no_rice on October 18, 2010) | ||

the accommodations for all of the almost 7-8 hours i slept between wednesday morning and sunday night...!    lots of talking like we're fast...     and hardly any riding pics... we didnt stop alot. and i still havent down loaded all my pics... plus you cover alot of ground when your managing triple digits on some of those curvy ass roads!    I WAS THERE TO RIDE NOT GAWK!!!!!!!!!! | ||

So how the heck did you guys get that bike out of the woods? Ashley got pics of the whole process. We will post them soon. They had to get a wrecker to get it out. The guy was cool and was careful when hauling it up. The bike was in really good shape considering. | ||

Jeff (AKA Blk Uly) really should tell this story, but in all likelihood he's still on the road to the Everglades (yes, he RODE that XR to TWO and back- probably with the hairy eyeball for any chance to get oil...)- I'll speak to that quextion: Of course, the ever resourceful Badwebbers he was trying to keep up with made a few phone calls, and a local guy came out and miraculously winched the bike up with very little additional damage! Miracle upon miracle has been bestowed upon Jeff, no doubt... had a good time just watching/helping him put the thing back together Friday nite, props to all the good peeps who helped with tools, lighting, extra hands, and moral support! Plus, he was one of my roomies in the main lodge's upper floor- apologies again for my moose apnea... |
