You can't see where it is breaking by pulling the filter and looking down into the throttle body??

Nice ramp, but I'll be keeping clear of it. Old age has brought enough pain on it's own without any help from me. In my younger days, I'd be in line for it.

Anyone riding tomorrow morning?

Ended up going here and there today. Temple Johnson, Lawrenceville, Buford Dam, and back home. Great day for a ride. I hope we get a few more days like today.

Buellish, I did; thanks for the pics. I also found you Buell hat in my truck. I'll post up my pics sometime here. I didn't take as many as I thought I would or should.

New12r, Didn't know there was an MX track out there. How many forks seals have gone through? Lets see that video.

So shred and I cleared 17 ft on the jump, that is enough to get over the creek and a little extra.

Then we hit the MX track on the fiddys, We had way too much fun.

Prolly wont get any video up till I get back from Fl next week.

Les and I rode up through Clayton to Warwoman, then took 28 north. We spent the night in Cherokee, and we're jumping on the Blue Ridge Parkway today. Hopefully it will go more smoothly than my last BRP trip, and I won't come home on a trailer. :P

The two-fiddy. We just got back home, and I have to say, it ain't half bad. It's light, it's nimble, and it's smooth. It doesn't have a whole lot of power, but it has enough to get by.

The fuel range rocks. I got 65 mpg on the BRP yesterday. That's over 300 miles til it runs dry. It's cool not worrying about making it to the next station.

When does a TPS reset need to be done? How would I know?

2006 9R, 5,200 miles, factory race can, otherwise stock.

Buell recommends a TPS reset to be done at 1000 miles, 10,000 miles, and every 10,000 miles after that. This info is in the owner's manual.

And as far as a TPS needing to be done. There are many accounts of Buell owners correcting a poor running engine, by doing a TPS reset. Also if you were to change out your ECM, or TPS, a TPS reset is needed.

I think that is more of what you were asking. A TPS reset is easy to do, if you have the software and cable to connect to the bike. At least a couple locals have what's needed, including myself, so don't go to the dealership to have it done.

Hay all, been out of town a for a while. been busy lately haven't even been checking on-line. Did a little catching up by reading the archives.

Charley, congrats on the promotion. The ramp is great, can't wait to hurt myself .. . err give it a try.

Sanchez, bummer on the trip. Making me wonder about my throttle body butterfly shaft. Glad your enjoying the 250 though. Though it's down at the moment, I have a truck and ramps if needed. Goes for any the group here, just call if you need a lift. No point in have a truck if you don't use it.

Speaking of that, I may even start hauling the bike up to the mountains. Even on the Uly the ride back is well boring and tiring.

Odie, great to hear from you. Hope things are going well. I modified one of your long heat blankets into a short one that goes under the ECU and took the extra to block the vent on the right. Working great.

Matt, welcome.

This year started out good as far as rides go. Did a few early rides and some exploring .. did a nice scenic ride along the river that comes out of lake burton but then, just to busy or been out of town. Only riding has been to and from work .. and gezz it's hot.

People suck. Went to dinner tonight and left my S1 parked way out in the far end of the lot. Some jackwagon apparently thought the space was open and backed right into it. Fortunately it just shifted the bike back a couple of inches and didn't knock it over. I'll need a new front fender, though.

I REALLY hope this is the last bad thing that's going to happen to me on this vacation.

Anyone have an intake manifold wrench?

I think I've isolated an intake leak on my S1 to the front seal, but getting the manifold off with a regular 90 degree allen wrench isn't working.

Just make sure you stand on your head, balance a beach ball on your feet, and whistle "She'll be comin down the mountain", or else it won't work.
