Just let us know Jody. I'm sure Dan wouldn't mind showing what he did and maybe.....help you make one. However, if it's a nice day we will most likely be riding LOL : )

My baby 1125 is at the doctors at HCHD. It's got some issues plus the wiring harness update. I'm so sad : (. I hope she gets home soon. Take care of her guys.

At least I still have the XB so as soon as Dan and I get home we may just need to go out for a ride. It's funny that the mileage on the CR is 911 : )

Julie, my 1125 is up there too. I had the charging harness recall done a couple weeks ago and now the charging system is acting crazy. Zac said that the new software update (which comes with the new harness) reduces the stator output when hot (irritatingly apparent at idle) in order to save the stator. HCHD is checking it out...but I am not going to like this new software if they come back and say this is now normal! My GPS/MP3 Player is shutting down every time I come to a stop light because of low voltage.

I need to get my water cooler up there as well but have not had the time. I need the first service done which I would do myself but I get the CEL light most of the time so that needs to be checked.

I think I got the S2T sorted out. It kept dying on me usually when I was getting on it and on the highway. I did a lot to it but think it was the intake manifold gaskets. I think they only last 2 to 5 years depending on use. Mine were the originals so they had been in there for 14 years. I thought I had changed them when I got the bike but it might had been another bike.

I will be interested to hear about this wiring harness upgrade.

Steve we saw your bike there. I'm not real excited about having to have this work done as we've heard about guys having problems afterwards. The water pump is leaking at the weep hole, clutch cover leak and some backfiring at cold starts.

Hopefully the guys will do a great job and it will be ok. It's hard cause I've never had any problems with the Scg so this is a new experience for me.

Sorry to hear about the 1125 problems and recalls. I think the 2004 and 2005 XB's have been some of the most problem free bikes that Buell has produced. My 2004 XB12S has never been to the shop for any problems or recalls in 29,000 miles. (I am not bragging just making a statement) Not that they cannot have things go wrong with them, but the simplicity of the motor and overall bikes design is easy to work on at home if something goes wrong. I Love that air cooled motor! Hopefully HCHD will get them all fixed and running like new soon.

Yeah John, my Scg has over 22K miles on it and not one problem. We went for a nice short ride down to Palmer Lake for some ice cream and that Little Blue is so much fun. It just can't stay under 80mph on 105. It's the bike, not me : )

I really like the 1125 and if I would of not purchased the Yamaha WR right before the big Buell sale last fall, their would have been one in my garage. The 1125 is a very high performance bike with all the goodies that go with it (hydraulic clutch etc...), so I think these minor inconveniences just goes with the territory. Keep us posted on how all these fixes go (for us possible future owners)!

Is there a possibility for you in the future, John? That would be fun.

I made it home dry and safe. It looked menacing behind me and in front of me the whole way. Colorado, man, just the way it is.

Thanks for another wonderful meal and some time with the kitty.

Ok... So, is it about time to get some twisty riding in again? It's started raining here so I'm figuring the roads are getting washed off up in the mountains.

I'm hoping to find someone who really knows ECMspy and Megalog Viewer. I have an XB12 throttle body I want to put on my XB9. Physically it will fit, but I need a new map created for it and the D&D pipe already on the bike.
Can't offer up too much on the cash end for your help but I'll make it right with you one way or another. I do a lot of pinstriping (old school with paint, not stickers) and automotive/bike detailing.
Thanks in advance...

Sorry man, I know how to use ECMSpy for troubleshooting purposes, but don't have much knowledge on tuning.

Jeff -
Just buy the EBR ECM and be done with it.
I got one a couple of weeks ago, not many miles yet, but good power, smooth and fairly good on mpg.
edit<I would think you would be good with the XB race ECM>

I asked them to drop the idle speed and Mike did.
Told them pump gas, turn on BAS and no sidestand switch.
The flashing COLD is gone and I can watch the CT rise without going into Diagnostic Mode.

I like it.

Z

Castle Rock got a bunch. I would guess about 12 inches so far, give or take. The drive home from work was no fun at all after they closed I25 at Lincoln today.

I got about a 45 minute ride in...as I picked up the 1125r from HCHD. Visited with Troyzz (picking up his CR, Zac (working hard as usual, and saw Julie's CR waiting to be picked up. I was about to head off when Troy noticed that my rear tire looked low...sure enough it had a staple in it and had lost about half of it's air. Fortunately I had just over 4/32 tread left (which I found out is the cut off point for coverage on the extended warranty plan), so I got a new rear tire for no charge.

I got out for a while, rode over to Pueblo and came back on highway 96. It was a little cold because of the rain clouds looming over head.

Got out for a ride down 115 today. Was testing my XB9SX to see if the intake leak is fixed. It is. Only I discovered that my oil leak which I suspect is from the rocker box is still there. Guess re-tightening the bolts didn't work. Sigh. Guess when I get back from TDY on friday I will go and get a new gasket for the rocker box and pull it apart, smear on some Hylomar and reinstall. Leak after that you b#%&^!

Ryan,
I guess by now you are an expert at rotating the engine to do all this stuff to fix your bike. How hard is it and how long does it take? Just curious.

I just remove the frame now. I can manage that in about 1 hr now. It's not all that hard, if you've never done it run over the service manual.
