Frank, too bad about the conference. Bad timing, I guess. There will be other rides. I think I'm still going to plan for it. I have some friends in the Atlanta area, so I might drop in on them for a day or two before or after the rally.

Well guys, looks like I might be here for a bit longer. I got my orders for Okinawa in April canceled and am awaiting new orders. The new ones should be for Landstuhl Germany as I agreed to go there and reenlist to extend my time in for it. The time I was shown in the computer to go there was Sept. That could change to sooner or later of course as it all depends. I'm praying for Sept or later as I really want to get one more summer here.

Not being able to ride today Dan and I went motorcycle window shopping. I'M IN LOVE. Now I just need to sell my CR and my XB and my dirt bike to get the BMW S1000RR. 193 hp, 85ft/lbs torque. Then we need to get an Adventure bike, the F 650 GS BMW. Oh, if only money was no object.

I looked at that bike a couple of weeks ago at our local dealer. Very sexy bike. Obscenely expensive, as are all BMW's. By what they're charging, you'd think the thing was plated in platinum or something.

Hey John, we went to BMW of Denver up on Hampden just before you get to Parker Rd. The adventure bikes run $11-13K and the 1000RR with all the bells and whistles was just over $16K. We watched a bunch of you-tube videos yesterday on these bikes. That 1000RR is incredible. WOW

We were trying to figure out which Buells to sell to get some of these bikes. Oh well, maybe in the future.

Oh, and they let you take the bikes for demo rides. The salesman said that as the weather gets warmer we could take the bikes out for a "few hours" : ). I think we're going to take him up on it.

Sounds like a plan. I would love to try one out. When the weather clears (roads), I might get up to the BMW on Wadsworth and see if the have one. I like the one you were on. Of course that color option i about $700 extra.

It sure is pretty especially in person. We were actually thinking of checking out the BMW dealer on Wads also. If they let people take the bikes out for a few hours that would be a better place to demo as they are closer to the hills. Plus we'd probably take out the F800GS for Dan and the F650GS for me. What a blast to take these bikes off road. Wouldn't be able to do single track but sure would open doors to new adventures. Take all the back roads to the places we like. : )

Now if they would demo the 1000RR I wouldn't mind checking that one out either. I think I'll call them tomorrow to inquire about their demo's

That is why a got the Yamaha made street legal to ride dirt back roads and single track. So much more out there other than just pavement. Keep me posted what you find out at the Wadsworth BMW dealer.

Well, I called the BMW dealer in Lakewood and they don't have the adventure demo bikes but they will let one take out the floor bikes for a 6-7 mile run. They do have the 1000RR in a demo tho : )

We might try giving the dealer down in Colo Springs to see what they might have.

Hey guys, Dan and I have decided to sell one of the CR's. Just trying to streamline and we really don't need two CR's

So, if anyone out there might be interested, we'd like to get at least $7K. One bike has 511 miles and the other one just over 200 miles.

I am glad I was sitting down when I read your post Julie on the CR sale or I would have passed out. I would love to have one but my work is still slow and do not know when it will pickup. Just glad to be paying the bills like everyone else. I am still looking for supermoto wheels for the WR and their not cheap. Sorry you have to sell it. Will pass the word around. Try an email to the Denver club.

Groooooooooan. Ok, at the tail end of my XB gasket rebuild project. The bike fired up strong and is running strong. Only problem is I have a check engine light. Anyone in the area have ECM Spy and cable to pull the codes I have or maybe even the blinking light cable for it?

Took the afternoon off and rode the WR up the canyon to some dirt back roads. What a great day for a ride! Too much sand up the canyon so the WR was the perfect ride. Damn, that thing can haul ass in the canyon. Cant wait for the super motor wheels for it.

Well, solved the check engine light. I removed the fuse for the fan as I blew the ACC fuse and didn't have a spare. Didn't realize the ECM would throw a code for that.
